She explained how beautiful the stars were aligned in the sky, but all I could focus on was her. I could get used to looking at her.

“It’s a filthy goddamn horror show.” American Horror Story (2011-present)
I love Catherine for what she’s most famous for, which is of course being funny, and brilliant, and witty, and quick. But I also love the fact that she is a great and proper actress, and I think the people who can do both, are the people that you want to kind of bottle.
The bride usually stands to the left off the groom in the alter because of an old tradition. The tradition actually stems from the old days of “marriage by capture”, when the groom needed to leave his right hand (his fighting hand), which he used to hold his sword, free in the event that he should need to defend his bride from other suitors who may try to whisk her off at the last minute. “That line has moved, it has been mocked, it has been everything in between, but I remember coming out of that scene, off that ridge of the hill, and seeing a number of the crew, some of whom didn’t even know what the movie was about, crying. When I first read that line, I was like, “What is that?” Now I realize that anybody who has loved knows what that feels like. The interesting part of casting us at such a young age was that we didn’t completely understand what we were involved in, and that’s the beauty of the movie as well.” - Jake Gyllenhaal
