coming out of my indefinite hiatus to say you guys have to be joking me!!!!

TLDR: no i will not write this or any other requests sent to me ever.

if you read my account for literally 2.5 seconds, you will see i:

1) do not write for tommy anymore — let alone write in general, seeing as my requests are closed and that i have not posted for over a year, the last post of mine being one in which i said i likely will not write anything again!

2) I DO NOT WRITE FOR FEMALE READERS! I AM A MAN! tapping the huge sign that says gender neutral or male readers only because i do not write for those who do not fit that gender!

the only reason i make an example of this ask specifically now is because in my 12+ month absence i have gotten a variety of notifications — most one-off likes or reblogs (the latter of which sometimes include sweet tags. thank you for that, they have always made me want to return to writing, both when i was a writer and now when i am not!) or asks, most of them asking me for requests of characters i do not write for anymore and for female readers, of whom i also do not write for.

it feels insulting and disrespectful to see people, including yourself, go through my posts, liking every single one for the fandom, especially ones where i clearly state i do not write for fear street anymore and then send an ask (and i’m assuming another on anon— if the timeframe these two asks were sent in are any indication) and send these to me, without a please or a thank you on either, while going through all of the indicators ive given that i no longer write.

please in the future use a bit more perception when requesting, especially from me! im so tired. i don’t even GO here anymore bro

hi everyone! im sure u have noticed a gap in activity. i wanted to let u all know that im taking an indefinite hiatus.

i made this account in high school and as i enter college and pursue a career in health, time is kind of scarce and i don’t have a passion for writing anymore.

ive shifted interests kind of heavily and i don’t feel motivated to continue, especially with minimal feedback outside of the occasional reblog.

i want to try to clear out my inbox of requests eventually. i have had requests closed since around august of 2022. any requests sent after that will be and have been deleted. i likely will not finish these requests any time soon. writing was a hobby and my life comes first.

sorry for how late this is! i got sick right after adopting a new dog and it threw everything off course. any way, enjoy, anon! i hope i characterized ed okay, i watched the show twice but im still a little nervous.

your hand lay in your lap as you huffed, the other rested gently above your brow bone in an attempt to block the excruciatingly hot sun.

“fuck,” you groan, squinting as the boat you arrived on gets smaller and smaller in the distance. “fuck!” the hand blocking the light slams into the sand you sit on before moving to cover your face.

“is my company that bad?” the man besides you teased, his boot lightly nudging your side as you look up. truthfully, no, it wasn’t. blackbeard- ed, rather- as he requested you call him- occupied most of your thoughts, and imagining him next to you here frankly made your head spin and the butterflies in your stomach cause a storm.

“no.” you huffed, moving your head away from his gaze. was it warm here? the sun felt especially hot as your face got even hotter (it had definitely been that, not the equally hot captain beside you.)

“cheer up! i’ll think of a way outta this. always do.” he said, resting beside you as one of his knees hits yours. “we just need to, uh, wait it out awhile.”

“wait it-“ you floundered. “wait it out?! ed, we’ll starve!”

“cannibalism’s a nice option.”

you shot him a withering glare before lying on the sand with a huff.

“brighten up!” he called your name, tugging you upright, his hand tied with yours as a teasing pout replaced the smile. “c’mon, sunshine!”

…sunshine..? you supposed you inquired out loud, as edward’s expression had morphed into one of surprise.

“oh. uh, yeah,” edward scratched his head with his free hand. “well, you remind me of sunshine… you’re all… bright n’shit.”

“really.”

“yeah, really.”

“huh, never knew blackbeard was so poetic.”

“i’m not fuckin’ blackbeard!” he groaned, ignoring the way your other hand began to envelop his. “‘m edward.” he almost whispered, eyes downcast as the two of you gravitated closer.

“well, i think i quite like edward.” you smile.

“i reckon edward likes you, too.”

perhaps the boiling sun wasn’t as grueling, circumstances considered.

im so sorry this took so long i’m not very good at writing dialogue for thomas and that kind of put me on a break for awhile lol hence why the ending is so abrupt… anyway enjoy!

you hate to say it, but you’re oblivious. you’re not sure how to fix it or how it happened but you are, and if someone said the word gullible was written on the ceiling, you’d probably believe them, too.

and yet when julian settled in next to you and claimed thomas was in love with you, you burst out laughing.

“what’s so funny?” his face twisted into some sort of sour expression.

“he’s not in love with me! we just… like complimenting one another.” your laughter died down, hand reaching to itch the side of your neck in semi-embarrassment.

“really.” julian frowned, unamused.

“really!”

“and you would consider him calling you the ‘fairest and most effervescent visage he had ever laid eyes on’ a compliment, yeah?”

“well…” you trailed off.

“kitty!” he shouted.

“no, no! don’t!” you’ve sat through one to many rose-colored rambles on how thomas and you had been “meant to be” and enough stories about how lovely it would be if the two of you were together to fill a library. “just… leave it?”

“i’ve bet on you, you know!” julian frowns as you get up to leave. “and i never lose!”

you huff, fleeing to the one place you knew you’d be alone. you hear an indignant “never!” right before you leave the room.

“y/n! my faithful and incomparable companion!” a voice called as you exited the house. thomas— who else would it have been? “whatever is the ma-“

“do you love me?” you blurt out, interrupting him.

“what?” thomas replies, his mouth failing to catch up with his brain as it flounders open and closed.

“julian said you loved me and i had to know for certain it was true.” you clench your fists. tight enough to bleed, though you supposed being dead had it’s perks that way. silence rang over the lawn and you could swear you caught figures in the window behind you. let them look. you needed to know.

“ah, well…” thomas searched for something to say. he had so many flowery sentences prepared and yet being out on the spot caused everything to just, well, disappear.

“if he’s lying, i am so-“

“no!” the poets hands fly out in front of him. “no. he’s, ah, he’s correct.”

“he,” you blink. “he is?”

“well, i hadn’t exactly planned it to happen this way, but, ah… i can improv it!” his hands wiped nervously on his waistcoat, resting on his bullet wound once done. “y/n. you have me completely enamored. i have been yours as i hope you have been mine and there is not a second i do not think of you; your smile, your voice, you. the sun and moon pale in comparison to just how much you shine.”

now it seems as though it was your turn for speechlessness, hand frozen in the air in some sort of silent invitation for thomas’ to grab yours.

“i would really love to hear you say you love me too, dove.”

dove? love?!

“you… love me?”

“well, i had hoped it was obvious by my speech that it was but yes, i do.”

“well, you didn’t say it in your speech.” your hands grasp the other’s. “if it means anything, i love you, too?”

“it means so much.” thomas murmurs, leaning in as the two of you hear loud cheering from inside the house.

summary: it’s been too long since you’ve seen the doctor. this one, at least.

a/n: i had an idea for a nine fic and needed to write it. he’s a super personal character to me and i hope i write him well <3

it was odd, being near him. for y/n it was so much later and yet for him, it might be the second time he ever saw them. that was the thing with time travel, they supposed. wibbly wobbly, or whatever one of the doctor’s other regenerations used to say.

“how long has it been?” they ask to the darkness. y/n can feel his presence, even as it changes over the years they know him. “since you’ve last seen me.”

“jus’ dropped you off at home.” the doctor murmured, his left hand inching ever so close to y/n’s. they notice, and yet they do nothing.

“and, you,” they pause. “you come to visit me? here?”

“always do.” he confirmed, his eyes burning holes into the side of their head. y/n’s eyes don’t leave the water from the bridge in front of them. “why do you come here? every time i see you, you’re always at this bridge.” the doctor’s tone lightens curiously.

“a reminder.” was all they replied with. “you’ll learn when you’re older.”

the doctor scoffed. “i’m plenty old already.”

“what’s the fun in spoilers, dear?” their lips are upturned, the crease in their smile illuminated just slightly by the moonlight.

“dear,” he tries. “since when do you call me dear?”

the question falls on deaf ears. y/n doesn’t look at him. something in their eyes flicker and the small lift of their lips suddenly fall.

“i miss you.”

“i’m here.”

“and yet you’re not. i don’t not like you, but there’s a lot i miss. everything moves too fast.” their hand meets his, the grip is soft- as if they’re not sure the timelord next to them is real.

“ah.” the doctor nods in understanding. “well, i’m not truly gone, yeah?” his eyes soften, itching to meet theirs. he always found them so beautiful, and yet y/n’s gaze was something rare. they always looked anywhere but towards him. “i’m always with you. i’m always with them.” he waves his free hand. it’s clear who he means.

“i always think of you. i see their- your eyes and think it’s not you. you’re not there, anymore. i know you are, but in everything they do i can’t help but wonder what you’d do different.”

the doctor frowns. the grip tightens. there’s nothing he can say. no snarky comment to lighten the mood and no poetic monologue to make the pain any less searing. so, he settles for something different.

he reaches for their shaking shoulders, hand dropping from theirs. y/n’s arms gripped the doctor’s waist almost immediately, and he could feel the shaky exhale leave their lips, along with a whisper.

“you always know how to make me feel better.”

“that’s what i’m for! i’m the doctor, yeah?”

“yeah.”

the wind blows around the two and time continues. for once, though, the doctor wishes it could all stop.

“y/n?”

“yeah, doc?” their head pulls away, looking up. they were looking at him. the newfound attention almost felt overwhelming.

“you know i love you.”

the second of silence felt dreadful. “yeah,” they clear their throat, removing an arm to wipe at their eye. “yeah, i do.”

“good.”

these sorts of meetings would come and go, and there would always be some sort of lingering feeling on both ends that they would one day cease altogether, but it wasn’t today. there would be time for the two today and everything felt worthwhile just to be together again.

“i love you too.”

you really should be glad he’s gone, you think. another troublemaker off the streets.

the asphalt scrapes your palms as they dig further into the road, they haven’t left you yet; the gang, that is. a multitude of hands rest on your shaking shoulders and it feels like something is crushing you, ripping through your chest. in a bittersweet sort of way, it might resemble his.

dallas’ wounds. there are too many and they’re leaking crimson and they’re staining your hands. you miss him. he had been nothing short of horrible and you miss him.

“you deserve better.” he used tell you between kisses pressed against your cheekbone.

“i know.” you’d reply, hands wound affectionately around his waist as a breathy chuckle smelling of cigarette smoke and sorrow washed over you. you never left and he never pushed. you were always there whenever dallas was hurt, patching up the wounds and plugging up the bullet holes. you supposed you were too late.

you were never late, a habit he’d snicker about every time you arrived to a rumble ten minutes early, or you would push him back to the curtis’ house just before sundown. you never liked to be the last one there. the irony of being late to dallas’ death lay sour in your mouth.

“c’mon. it’s cold.” a voice invited behind you. yes, it was cold. the weather is merciless. dallas was merciless. his death was merciless and the tears streaming down your face and onto his face were, too.

and yet time continued. the hands gripping your shoulders slowly retracted themselves one by one until you were the last one left and the sun had peeked over the trees.

there you stayed, the asphalt digging into your fingernails and knees bloodied. dallas never liked to see you cry. he shouldn’t have to see you cry. but, he could be merciless and so could you.

larry was nervous, he never was nervous. scratch that- yes, he was, but there was always this sarcastic comment that eased the venom of the crippling worry he felt daily. that was what was missing.

“larry. it’s fine, we know i’m immune, yeah?” y/n assured, their hands rested politely in their lap. no sudden moves, sometimes that made him worse.

“yeah, but what if you’re not immune.”

“then i’ll melt into a puddle.”

“y/n!” they assumed he was frowning. there was a cadence in his voice they picked up on after awhile that showed his unrest.

“what?! i’d be a pretty puddle. would you still love me if i was a p-“

“enough.” larry interjected, and with a sigh he put his head in his hands. “it’s time.”

“yeah?”

“yeah.” he sighed again, and y/n’s hands inched their way to his.

“hey,” they began. “you know i’ll love you no matter how you look.”

“do i?”

“you’d better, asshole!” y/n hissed, lacking malice. “anyway, i’m not pushing you to do this. if you’re not ready-“

“i’m ready.”

“okay. take your time.” they pressed a kiss to his bandaged cheek, their hands leaving his as y/n waited patiently. he began unraveling the bandages, beginning with those wrapped around his head. embarrassed for this being their first thought, all y/n could think of was, ‘holy shit, this must be the worst thing ever to put on.’

“larry,” their tone sounded sympathetic, head tilting to the side and eyebrows furrowed. “you’re still the same person with or without bandages.” y/n frowned.

“yeah, but,” larry’s mouth turned downward, and y/n found even when he frowned they loved it. “i’m not…. ugly?”

“never.” no longer able to stay still, their hand rose to touch his face, electing to ignore the flinch larry made. it must’ve been years since someone did that. in turn, larry leaned his face into y/n’s palm, sighing in a reassured sort of fashion.

“that’s good.” he affirmed, a clumsy smile washing over him at the sensation of your lips at the side of his face. he could get used to this, and so could you.

hi!! glad to see someone actively writing for doctor who in 2021 :) could you do something where the reader gets injured  pretty badly on an adventure and hides it from the doctor, not wanting  to worry him, and ends up collapsing when they get back on the tardis  and the doctor takes care of her n stuff? with ten! thank you sm!!
