And you love me ’til my heart stops Love me ’til I’m dead
Literally a perfect ending. Nick is the best to ever do it.
A small selection of Gryles radio fondness
msaimeephillips On the occasion of his final @bbcradio1 show, I wanted to tell a little story about @nicholasgrimshaw.
I never thought I would leave NY, it was part of the fabric of my being. He talked me into coming to London “for a couple of weeks” to celebrate his last 10pm show, to hang with him on a “relaxing” vacation in Spain, and then to be there for his first Breakfast Show. The ensuing 14 days were absolute chaos in the best way possible and completely altered the course of my life, beginning with a wild nighttime radio show finale, then a messy trip to Ibiza, and finally a pub quiz at which he introduced me to my future husband. I arrived that week in late August 2012 for a visit and I had so much goddamn fun I never left. And that is exactly what it’s like with Grimmy, his gravitational pull is so strong it will sweep you off your feet and onto his planet, whether you feel like you “belong” or not. These photos are all from those two weeks in late summer 2012, a perfect pictorial representation of two weeks in the life of Nick Grimshaw.
I look at them and see the true magic of Grimmy: he’s not just a DJ, he’s an alchemist, mixing the most unlikely people together and making magic. He’s not just a presenter, he’s a pied piper, with a neverending stream of devoted followers (myself included) whom he leads to the promised land of FUN time and time again. Being in his orbit makes you feel cooler, smarter, funnier…part of something. THAT is the magic of Nick Grimshaw, whether you’re a friend, a listener, a colleague or just a chance meeting on the street. He has time for you. He brings you in. He makes you laugh and radiates an immediate easy warmth and inclusivity the likes of which I’ve never experienced. His persona on the radio isn’t a persona, it’s the real thing, which makes listening to the show as his actual friend feel just like hanging out with him IRL. I’ll miss that a lot, knowing that wherever I am I can tune in and feel like I’m with my pal. But all of these things combined are the reasons I know that the end of his time at Radio 1 is only the beginning. Wherever he goes next he will shine, as he always has, and he’ll bring us all along for the ride. ♥️
Omg lol still into you

liammconroy AS IF it’s @nicholasgrimshaws final show on Radio 1 today.
He’s not one for compliments so I’ll just leave this here. Nick’s probably done more for gays like me growing up than he’ll ever know. An out man, with a ‘touch’ of camp not being the butt of the joke but being the coolest in the room?! We love to see it! But above all, he’s also just dead funny and knows how to have a laugh. Listening to him from home on the late show and then working with him on Breakfast & Drive has given me some of my most loved times @bbcradio1. It won’t be the same without him- a true hun 👏👏👏
bbcradio1 Today is @nicholasgrimshaw's last day on Radio 1 😢Take a look at just a few of his iconic moments from across the years and then join him at 2pm for the final R1 show of a true radio legend!
Harry Styles from The Wan- One Direction! asking some questions about Nick (otherwise known as ‘How many young stupid models has Grimmy hooked up with?’) x
Scott and Chris join Nick to play The Honesty Game (4Aug2021).
They had some really sweet things to say about Nick in the last few minutes as this was their final time on air together (plus some lol chat about Scott and Nick’s pop star hook ups)
The intro to Nick’s final week on Radio 1 featuring a montage of some of our all time fave moments

Question 2: True or False - yesterday was a very relaxing day in the One Direction press office (aka how to mention Harry and his recent escapade without actually mentioning Harry nor his escapade) (08.07.2014)
‘And to think, everyone thought I was such a wholesome little creature!’
