⚠️ Warning About Unsafe Commissions: My Experience With Femnem / Femnem_ / “Nem :3” I would like to share my experience with the avatar creator known as Femnem, Femnem_, and “🌸Nem :3🩵”. This post is intended solely to warn other members of the art-community about potentially unsafe and highly unprofessional commission practices. My work with him started when I saw an avatar in VRChat looking almost like my own character (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15614722/). I decided to try and resolve the conflict and contacted Femnem_ on Discord. Although we both decided that it was not art-theft and just a coincidence, and he offered me a chance to buy that character and/or make a commission specially for me, later I was ghosted by the creator and fell into a bad situation. He never completed the work, renamed my ticket using profanity, closed the ticket, depriving me from the chatlog and then assaulted me via DM, refusing to make a refund. Today was the day PayPal finally closed the case in my favor. ❗ 1. Work Was Never Delivered - the Creator Disappeared After Payment After paying for my commission: - we agreed on the scope and timeframe, - the creator initially responded normally, - and then completely stopped replying, - and never delivered any files or results. ❗ 2. Use of Unsafe and Concerning Methods Several public discussions from other clients mention that this creator: - asked clients for their VRChat login and password to “upload the avatar directly” into their account. This practice: - violates most platform rules, - puts clients at risk of losing their accounts, - and is considered extremely unsafe and unacceptable in the community. While I personally was not asked for my credentials, the fact that this method has been used with other clients is a major red flag. ❗ 3. Possible Copyright & License Violations The creator used the Mayu (Kemono Feline Avatar) model in the commission. However, Mayu’s official Terms of Service clearly state: - the license is non-transferable, - distributors may not share any files with third parties, - only the original purchaser may use the files. I did not purchase the Mayu license myself. Thus: - the creator had no right to provide me with those files, - and even if the avatar had been delivered, I would not have been legally allowed to use it. This indicates a potential breach of the original creator’s licensing terms. ❗ 4. Highly Unprofessional, Offensive, and Manipulative Behavior During my communication with the creator, they behaved in an extremely unprofessional and inappropriate manner. Specifically: - they renamed my support ticket on their side to an insult (containing the phrase “stupid **cker”), - used profanity directed at me, - attempted emotional manipulation, including guilt-tripping and shifting blame, - tried to shame and belittle me for asking about the progress of my own commission. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable from anyone offering paid professional services. ❗ 5. Overall Pattern of Concerning Behavior All in all, my experience includes: - complete non-delivery of the commission, - ghosting after payment, - unsafe account-related practices, - potential license violations, - refusal of refunds, - offensive and toxic communication, - and a complete lack of professional conduct. ⚠️ Conclusion I strongly do not recommend commissioning avatars or adopts from users operating under the names: Femnem / Femnem_ / “🌸Nem :3🩵” Based on my experience — and the experiences of other community members — their commission practices appear highly unreliable, unsafe, and unprofessional. 📌 A Note to the Community If you have had similar experiences, please consider sharing them.
