if you’re unhappy, find the courage to make a change :))

So what if you’re alone right now. Embrace it. Go get coffee alone. Shop alone. Drive alone. Watch movies alone. Get to know yourself. Nothing bad can come from riding whatever wave to self improvement you’re blessed with in the moment.
when you’re lost I’ll find the way and I’ll be your light / you will never feel like you’re alone / I’ll make this feel like home
January was a rollercoaster of emotions for me… it was probably the lowest of been emotionally in a very very long time, but we all push through the hard times and come out stronger because of it
and so, to anyone who needs it, you will survive. you were given this life because you are strong enough to live it. things will be okay <3
haven’t you heard?
everything’s going to be just fine. you’ve got this.
You are perfect just the way you are :)
if something makes you go ’!!!!’ inside it’s worth keeping around
please make sure that wherever you’re at in life, you don’t treat it like a transitory period. don’t waste your college years wishing to already be graduated & have a job. don’t waste your single years wishing for someone to be in love with. if/when those things come, they will come in due time and they will be good. but there is nothing like looking back and feeling empty because you wasted literal years ignoring what you had because you were hoping for something better. while it’s important to better yourself and reach for your goals, don’t neglect the present because that’s where you are now and it’s your now that determines your future.
Look at you! You’re living perfectly fine without the person you thought you needed.

stop waiting on men to validate you. you’re pretty. you’re smart. you’re interesting. you’re worth time & effort. you deserve to be loved. you need to know these things and truly believe them. don’t wait on some man to come along and tell you.
a whole semester
oh my gosh.
I can’t believe that I haven’t touched this blog in an entire semester. i didn’t think i would be hit with such an onslaught of personal issues again this hard. i didn’t think i’d spiral this much either. i guess it’s true, murphy’s law must be real, because nearly everything i thought couldn’t go wrong -- did just the opposite.
my life has done a complete 180º and i’m not sure what to do from this point. i don’t want to get too deep into it, but i don’t know how to fully express it. however, career and school plans are something that’s still relatively constant. i just wish i would be doing better. speaking of academics...
...where it stands, my GPA is the absolute lowest it’s ever been - honestly horrendous. i didn’t realise how badly everything was affecting me and how unwell i was coping until i saw how my GPA turned out.
with this entire experience, i’m trying to let go and find something good in everything. on the bright side, i’ll only have to retake one class. I’m still set to graduate when i want to, i just have to be a little stronger and work a little harder this time around.

How to use your time effectively in college
The key here is to: automate the tedious tasks. But what can you automate?
1. Clothes/uniform: Having a uniform can save you lots of time. And stress. You know what you are going to wear every day, anyways. Does this match with this? Maybe I should wear jeans instead of pants? And you don’t get the usual I don’t have anything to weeeaaar!!!! Nope. You don’t get any of that. I literally wear black pants and similar shirts every day. If it’s cold, I throw on a jacket. If it’s not, I wear some sandals. My mornings are stress-free and I get ready in less than 3 minutes. Now, some people might find this ridiculous. If you do, why not take a day every week to plan your outfits? Knowing what you are going to wear in advance is a great way to save time!
2. Meal prep: I meal prep twice a week. Because I like my food to be relatively fresh. You know how good it feels to not worry about what you are going to eat? HEAVEN. That’s what it feels. And the time you spent choosing a restaurant, waiting or just cooking every day is reduced. More time for you to save! And let’s be honest, you’re saving money too here.
3. Social Media posts: On Tumblr you can schedule posts which, as a college student that runs a studyblr, I find highly useful. This prevents me from checking social media too much. I haven’t used it as often because I’m still on vacation but I can see myself setting some time aside to write 2 or 3 posts in a day to schedule for the week.
4. Make the best use of your phone: I know that phones are a major red flag for studying. However, when used correctly and to your benefit, it is of big help. Especially when we are talking about organizing. You can set reminders and plan your semester. And with apps such as Evernote, you can go paperless and find everything in just a couple of seconds! If you happen to forget your laptop or phone and need a document, that isn’t a problem as you can access them online. Guys, for real, make use of a cloud storage service like Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. You can access it from any device! Also when working online, multiple people can work on a document and this can save you time on cleaning and the edit of the layout.
