"Wah, why aren't fandoms fun anymore?"

Because you keep policing people's headcanons, making fun of them and calling them horrible things, and on top of that, you're somehow claiming to be a safe space for people to express their creativity, yet turning around and harassing them anyways because you've made a billion exceptions to the "don't police people" rule and you think, like everyone else who's made their own exceptions, that your exceptions justify harassment.

So you're making fandom into a field of rat traps where nobody even dares interact with anyone, or shares art anymore, because you still might just attack them for it because they did something as simple as writing a canonically soft character as... a softie.

Let people do their "cringe" y/a romances, let people do their "gross" ships, let people write those characters as jerks or softies. Let them, and mean it when you say you'll let them, instead of soapboxing about it in a patronizing post but not really meaning what you're soapboxing about.

I know I’ve posted my thoughts on this whole sequence of events before and all, but I just can’t stop thinking about it still.

I mean, first off, Alucard makes it seem as though he’s incapable of killing the Captain because he’s a werewolf, which is just flat out untrue. And Walter was seemingly relying on Alucard’s help to beat the Captain in the first place, considering he nags him for being late to the fight… only for Alucard to flee as soon as he takes personal damage (which is also rather bizarre, considering just how much he’s shown to love a good challenge.) Even though he told Walter it was important he go take down the “ringleader”, he instead just kicks it back with his uh… seemingly sentient coffin… and lights up a cigarette.

Oh, but only after shoving what looks to be a wooden beam through the door handles.

I was pretty in awe after reading the Dawn to find out just how badly Alucard screwed poor Walter over here. I mean, unless I’m reading this wrong… but I’m not really sure that there’s a more logical explanation other than the idea that Alucard was trying to get Walter either killed or gravely injured. Even if he was just being an inconsiderate jerk, why stick something through the handles of the door to prevent it from being opened?

The circumstances that led to Walter’s betrayal are just so tragic. He really was just a kid…
