I feel this in my SOUL.
Every fucking week when it’s time to go grocery shopping my wife and I are like “what should we cook this week” and immediately forget every food we have ever enjoyed.
I feel so attacked right now

im in a group message with a bunch of straight guys and i have no idea what's going on. for example one of them just shared this meme which is simply enlightened:
“When we seek stability in our life it is often a shock to discover that it doesn’t actually exist. How can that be true when we’ve been told so many times that it is real and needs only the right person, the right job, the right education, etc. But nothing is stable and a simple look at our own life will confirm it and that it’s not only you whose life is spinning, meeting change after change after unrelenting change. It’s everybody because it is the nature of things. Our happiness, peace and contentment then lies in wisely surrendering into what is often perceived as chaos and responding with integrity. Keeping our authenticity and doing that which needs to be done. When we face the Dhamma we will see that everything is teaching us. The hard lessons, the painful lessons and the joyful lessons, all part of the simple reality of life. There is no Father Christmas, there is no tooth fairy and there is no stability to be found anywhere. The moment we intuitively understand and accept this, we are free. Free from the mind screaming ‘it shouldn’t be like this.’ Free to act in a pure way, putting down a destructive self interest and sharing our love and our understanding with the world. Old age, sickness and death are not punishments meted out to only a few unfortunates, but the reality of this thing we call life. And in the end they are our greatest teachers. May all beings be happy.”

There is nothing more tender than playing with someone’s hands…..it sounds so dumb but stroking each other’s palms & tapping on each other’s wrists & twisting your fingers together & squeezing each other’s hands…..it’s like having a conversation that no one else can hear!
