SARADA
After spending a month in the city, the young Uchiha had grown more accustomed to living in it. Exercising independence in the Uchiha household, it was easy for her to adjust to the cooking and cleaning— but it was not the same without her parents. ( It was as though being in this place alone had forced her to try and grow up quicker. )
While she had met others in the city, it was difficult to try and not think of the friends and family she had back at Konohagakure, and at times it was difficult to bottle up the longing to see and return to them. Yet, as fate would have it, she was stuck in Spirale, unable to find a way to leave. So, she spent her days, trying to live as she would in the village: training on her own, reading books— whatever it took to try and suspend her thoughts.
On a trip to try and find a decent bookstore, Sarada had ventured on her own for once, unaccompanied. She had accumulated a decent number of Stars for the month, and she had enough Dust to grab a bite after. As she explored the streets, she had blended well amongst the crowds, until she had been found by a familiar face.
Feeling the hold on her shoulder, she immediately turns around, startled by the sudden gesture. It was then she gets a good look at his face, eyes widening, just as her name was mentioned. It couldn’t be…
“Boruto?“ A shocked tone, she pulls him to the side, making sure they didn’t obscure any passersby. "I can’t believe it— Were you brought here, too? Did you just arrive?”
“ So it is you! “ He’d been in belief that he was all alone, here by himself; but hey at least he has one of his teammates now! Shikadai or Inojin or even Mitsuki would have been more preferable to him... Seeing as Sarada and he were still struggling between friends and rivals, but a friendly face was better than having no one at all for the boy. Bright, pearly-white teeth were bared as he widely grinned at his teammate, hardly at all bothered by the tug as she pulled him out of the way of other nearby civilians.
“ Hah! This is great! I was worried that I’d be all alone y’know? But even if its you, it’s better than being all by myself in this big place. Hey-- Where even are we, do you know Sarada? Um-- Yeah, I woke up here just earlier this morning. Some weird car dropped me off at a building and then I went wandering and... here I am now! Right in front of you! “
Boruto was hardly phased by the situation at hand now; all too focused on the then and now. Clearly Sarada’s presence had brightened his day up a whole lot. Though he swears up and down that he’d have been even more ecstatic had he’d been stuck with anyone else... Even Chocho would be preferable!
