Love is Love

I believe that the Love is between two people regardless of their sex. In my opinion love is an internal connection between two people that cannot be determined by others and their feelings . Growing up I was taught that I can love anyone no matter gender, race, or religion . Many families that have strict rules may frown upon the way I was taught, as an example I was raised by a Mom who was in a relationship with another woman , while many thought being raise by a gay/lesbian parent I believe it helped my in life . Being raised by two woman taught me that men aren’t needed to do household repairs or mow the lawn, it basically showed me that you can do anything you put your mind to. Not only do I see random people judging I see parents degrading their children due to them loving someone of the same culture, religion, race or sex. I came out expecting to be love and cared for no matter who I love , yet my father chose to be unsupportive of my sexual orientation. Who also claims that he did not raise me to be this way, but if I remember correctly he was never there to raise me . So tell me ,How is anyone raised to love someone of the same sex  ? No one is forces you  to love someone , everyone should feel comfortable to be with whoever they love and never feel forced into loving anyone. In today’s society I see many gay couples every day being judged for who they love and care for . I don’t go around judging heterosexual couples for being together , so why should my relationship be judged based on who I love and who I care for?  Differences should be put aside , love and support should be encouraged to those who struggle as a result of society's opinions. I never in my life have heard a same sex or couple judge or degrade those involved in same race, same religion, or heterosexual relationships. I understand that people will say what they need in regards to homosexual couples , and obviously I can't control them. However, simply imagine that somebody you know may be in a gay or lesbian relationship. Would you judge them ? Or would you simply put your differences aside and respect their choices?  Love is one of the many gifts of life that everyone should have the ability to experience no matter what their sexual orientation is. No one should be afraid to be who they are. The definition of love can mean many things to many different people, but to me love means loving someone for who they are. Not by their gender, religion, or race but by how happy they make you . Those of you parents who say that being homosexual is “just a phase” please think twice about what you child is feeling and don’t degrade them for who they love . After all Love is Love .

I write this as all the memories hit me for some reason. As much as I want to cry I think look how far you have come. You have been treated like shit all your life brought down because of who you were . Going to school and pretending everything was “fine” and placing that fake fucking smile on your face . Trying to cover the scars upon your thighs and carvings on your wrist. You cried out for help but not to hard because god forbid you don’t want to be an attention seeker. Only few knew my stories few knew that my mom and ex step mom fought every night . They didn’t know that in that I was being told it was my fault for everything. I was worthless and numb to the world . For months I went to school filled with emotions and ready to burst at any moment. Yet no one knew because again you tell your self “ DON’T BE AN ATTENTION SEEKER” . Don’t let them see you upset. You come home lock yourself up and wonder “ Do I even matter?, Would you care if I died?, Would everyone be happier without me ?. All these negative thoughts ran through my brain stuck like glue. You finish school with the thought of still being worthless and lonely .Till you meet Her. She makes everything great and tells you a fresh start might helo . We didn’t know our relationship would be judged. So you  Leave to your fathers thinking a fresh start would be nice. Ha you thought wrong . “You need to lose weight your getting fat, you don’t do anything , you’ll never get anywhere, She is just using you.” those were the horrible things said said to me . Look where I am know FUCKERS first semester of college began and guess what ? The girl you said was “just using me “ Our 2 years is coming up fast . SO FUCK YOU . Your fake apology means nothing . I may feel better about who I am but I am still emotionally scarred with the horrible things you said to me. Today I feel like a better person. I am promised to the girl I soon plan to make my wife, but for now those are put off until I graduate. I’m Thankful to have a partner who supports me whole and wants me to do better with school . Today I am one year clean of cutting , and working on my career to help people who were in my position open up and let out their feelings.

I found some pictures of when I bleached my hair and I though why not share this moment with my girlfriend . So I send her these pictures of me in my awkward stages of life and she tells me she likes my hair . I get to thinking about how i would want to bleach my hair again but then she tells me oh and my mom thinks you look good with it too like oh god ! Her mom is so sweet but I didn't plan to share my awkward years with her to ! Talk about EMBARRASSING and then come to find out that’s not the first picture she has sent to her mom like ahh ! At least me and her mom are super close !

Little does she know I look at her and I see perfect . She thinks she has so many flaws but she is incredible. Her smile is my favorite thing about her , I love making her smile. She is funny and smart, I couldn’t ask for more . She is the best thing that has ever happened to me and ever will. She is the woman I see myself having a family with , I see myself marrying her and growing stronger. She is my better half . I see us living our dream with our children our animals and just being able to  be happy . I love my life right now and I couldn’t ask for anything more of my life . We are on day 395 with many more to come <3

I have never been so happy in my entire life , this girl had came into my life when I was stuck in a depression . She spent countless hours on the phone with me , dealing with my emotional self and making everything seem better. Now we have been together 8 months now and still counting !
