Cosmic Art That connects me to Nature
Perhaps I have missed named my art. It may be more art of the mind. The shapes that one sees in Nature seem to repeat themselves in differing scales. I see shapes when in a certain mood and, these shapes when put on paper remind me of something (it could be a cell in the human body it could be a galaxy) in Nature.
This may slightly be an oversimplification although I struggle to put my art into any such sub-titled dogmatic terminology ascribed to art by the critics.
But let this not distract me from the point Not that I in anyway despise what these pockets of art ascribed are, but feel that sometimes the critics can be side-lined by the modulated voices of those around them. I am not party to how critics come tot heir decisions so I maybe slightly off the mark there. What does appeal to me about my art is the difficulty in my mind to select a type or pigeonhole for it. Cosmic Intergalactic, mental permutations of dreams induced by trauma?? Hard to say really given all of the above.
When I have finished a painting it becomes the past, no longer living as it had been whilst under construction. Yet others see my art as living, having life continually moving and changing. Then I wonder have I achieved something with my art?. Am I bold enough to read into the musings of others?.
I am not putting words into peoples mouths, therefore what they say should be believed by me. If they say that they see this or that then, I absolutely believe what they say.
This is what makes art such a broad brush and as such it is subjective. Every one of us can and should have a view (even not liking art is a view)
What remains of my art then what can I progress to? A question that is impossible to answer even guess at. Nights fighting with demons and days in atrophy lead me to believe that my output is diminishing, as I get older not through age but through wear and tear.
This constant usage of my mind in its daily battles with the raging thoughts, the discourse of parallel ideas running simultaneously with other converging thoughts and ideas is very, very, tiring.
