No scene manager. No memory allocations. No unloading and loading from disk. The time it takes to load a new level in my game is just the time it takes to copy a struct from the level registry to the current level.
Over a decade of programming and I still get just as stoked every time I get something new working!
Made a custom animation system for my game today Animations looking a lot better now
Started filling out the background environment in my laser puzzle game!
Some folks in the #raylib community noticed that my lighting looked off and helped me debug my shader code by just outputting the camera position directly to fragment shader color.
Moments like this are why I enjoy programming and game development so much.
You put in hours of focused work and these little wins where stuff works make it all worth it!
Added level transitions to my laser puzzle game.
Used https://easings.net for easing functions reference.
Got basic lighting setup today. Referenced https://3drender.com/light/3point.html for positioning the lights.
Yesterday, I finally got the last few game mechanics done in my laser puzzle game. Can start working on visual improvements and making more levels now.
An old laser puzzle game prototype I've resurrected, along with my dreams of independent game development.
