Okay hear me out, y’know how a bunch of us compare dreamsmp to a dramatic tv show?

Because I just realized, most of us have been watching a completely different show from one another.

Think about it, unless every single one of us went through and watched every single streamers vod anytime they were in the server, none of us are getting the same perspective.

Some people are mainly watching from Tommy’s perspective, the “one destined hero” story. The one where the protagonist had everything taken away from him (his home, his land, his family) and has to fight tooth and nail for it all back, only to find people on his side have turned against him.

Other’s might mainly watch from Techno’s view, or the “Betrayed and Learned From It” story. The one where the Middle Character is doing their damn best to help out the people who have the closest morals to his own, only for them to blow off his every hope once he has no “use” anymore.

Another of the main is Wilbur, or the “Losing Everything” story. One that’s close to the protagonist’s in the beginning, but completely different in the end. The antagonist loses everything he’s ever had, and has to fight for it back. Except in this one, the loss gets overwhelming, to the point that he can’t see how he’ll ever get it back, and turns that hopelessness into anger, destroying everything because it’s easier than facing it.

And we could even go a step further and say Schlatt’s side, or “The Evilized”. The character is acting out and making decisions in the best way that they know, only to be angered at because the side against him happens to be larger than the side that’s with him. As a result, the flaws of the other characters are thrown onto him, and forces him to act like the person they’re making him out to be.

So yes, they’re all connected, obviously. But in a way, it goes to show just how much the perspective can completely change how the narrative connects to us. This might sound boring, and highschool english class-like, but it genuinely interests me beyond belief. We simply do not all have the same story.

I could ramble about this for hours, but its literally midnight and I need sleep. So uh, enjoy that I guess (:
