One of the booktubers I watch (which I will no longer do!) is recommending promoting an AI-powered social media adjacent app. You cannot make this shit up. Money must be tight huh

I am starting to think the romance genre (at least the newest books from the last 3-4 yrs!) is going to 🗑, everything is so formulaic and just poorly written, there's no depth, it's a nothing sandwich. I'm gonna go back to historical romances, fanfics and pre-Tiktok romance novels...I'm not ready to give up on this genre yet

The people at my local library have seen me at my best and at my worst, and I feel more validated by them than my own friends sometimes. That library is truly my safe haven

The worst is finding out that a person only reads nonfiction, but not just any nonfiction....self-help. Babes put that down, pick up a novel and let it fully transform you in ways a self-help book never can.

authors who mention that they use AI, even if it's not to write their books but more so as a "tool" for "research purposes", get automatically added to my "Do Not Read" list. I don't have time for this nonsense, thousands of authors across millenia have written masterpieces without this "tool" that CAN and WILL give you incorrect information. go to the library (physical or online) like the rest of us for research 🙄

Currently Reading: The Someday Garden by Ashley Poston

I have about ~50 pages left and I'm still unsure how I feel about this book! 🥴 I have loved her previous books (especially The Seven Year Slip and A Novel Love Story), but this one feels too slow and the FMC only started showing emotional growth at the 80% mark. The worst is that there's so much emphasis placed on the side characters that they're overshadowing the main couple. Plus we never really see them "truly connect", the chemistry just isn't there. Looks like it will be a 2.5-3 🌟 for me.

😭 this is wild but e-readers really do help with reading. But I still love physical books more!

Making this side blog for reading purposes bc I have been in a reading slump for the better part of 2026 and I hate that for me! No book reading/tracking apps have helped me so maybe dumping my thoughts somewhere would work better 🤷🏻‍♀️
