Final Project:
The two art history lessons that resonated the most with me were Fuavism and Impressionism. I was inspired by the colors and movement from these two lessons. I used a wooden canvas for this, using thick wax-like paint and with a paint brush I dabbed it on around the wood to create texture. The colors I chose relate to the Fauvism assignment because I chose soft white, pink, and blue to represent peace, tenderness, and comfort. I used two twigs to form a cross in the center, found pedals from a bush, cut out two flowers from a magazine, used a fake flower, and stuck on three of my favorite Bible verses. This ties in with the Impressionism assignment because of the pedal movement.
I am really happy with how this turned out and love having it in my room, as it serves as a reminder of my faith and that Godâs got my back always:) I had a lot of fun this semester experimenting my creativity!
