Hey guys…

I am really scared to sit down and make this post right now. I hate to be admitting what I am about to be in front of everyone, but I really feel I need to ask for some help. As very very few may know, my father passed away recently and this has had such a big impact on me and my family. I live at home with my sisters and mom right now, my mom is not able to work my sisters and I were all working part-time and also attending university full-time since this happened in order to make all ends meet. We were just barely able to do so, but with the coronavirus situation, we have all been laid off work. This has been a difficult time for me and my family.

I hate posting this here because I don’t want people to laugh at me or to assume things, but I also have been struggling. I see others sharing their stories and I decided to do it so as well. I have been constantly updating Taylor on this situation through private messages on here, from the day I was invited to the secret session that I couldn’t attend (again because of finances). So if you can’t help I understand, thank you for everything and even for reading this. Please try to not send negative messages, please. This already hurts me enough to publically admit.

Hi guys, yikes. I know this isn’t the best time to be posting something like this, especially in the wake of what Taylor is doing, but I’ve been afraid of not being able to pay for my allergy medicine/steriods (I don’t post about it a lot but I did post about it here). Long story short my allergy medicine is almost 400 and my steroids are 300. With hours being cut at work I’m not sure insurance is going to pay for it. We also lowered our mortage payment to the lowest it can go at this time, since they recently raised our mortage tax… I’m just afraid of not being able to survive. I’m allergic to… basically the entire outside world and I can’t function without my medicine. If you can’t afford to donate please consider reblogging, thank you guys. Edit: My job just told us we all might be later off by the end of the month. I’m horrified. But also, I work with children who have autism and I provide behavior therapy to them. Please send me your thoughts and prayers because I can’t bear the thought of losing these kids. They need these services so badly. I’m scared

This whole situation has me as a giant ball of stress. I hate feeling helpless and having no control to help people. Having my family multiple states away is awful. Especially when my parents, specifically my dad, are at very high risks of complications if they catch coronavirus. AND he works at a VA hospital in Ohio, where there are confirmed cases. Some of my family had already fallen into hard times since before the pandemic and after losing my grandpa late last year. It already hurt me to not be able to help them and watch them struggle. They don’t have a car, and I can’t afford to get them one. So they are helpless in this situation. They do not even have a computer, and the school district has failed to let them use one to do online schooling. Their jobs were affected by the crisis, especially since they are unable to get rides from others due to social distancing and transmission fears. Another family memeber has been living in their car now and can’t get assistance.

Aside from family, which is such a horrible stresser because I cannot help, there’s so much going on here. My husband works at a hospital, and we were told we will likely get the disease. But I also have to watch my friends’ daughter because they are also in the military and dealing with issues that prevent them from being home, sometimes for weeks. I am worried about keeping her healthy. Plus trying to get her to and from daycare on certain days, when there has been a lot of confusion. Including days where they aren’t open and times when they thought they were closing for the duration of the crisis.

Also, going on spring break and then getting news that the disease is a pandemic and we weren’t returning was terrible. It turned into pure chaos and I feel bad for the professors, the staff, the students. Everyone. The whole process has been confusing and janky. So many people do not have access to good internet or technology. My computer dies constantly because it is broken and my internet cuts out during class sometimes. I’ve been emailing back and forth with a dozen different departments and people for a week and half trying to plan for college. I apparently have the opportunity to graduate a year early, next spring, and I just need to take one course over the summer (but I need to pay for it, so about $1,500 ouch). I should be super excited. But there’s been so much stress and confusion because I can’t meet with anyone in person and I needed to register by certain days, etc.

I’m just so stressed and everything mentioned about is making it difficult to be able to focus on my school work, or anything really. But I am thankful that I have my husband here, even if his job puts us at risk. And I’m thankful for my adorable cat Mercy, who is keeping me sane. Im also thankful for @taylorswift for Lover and Miss Americana getting me through this as well. The music especially is one of the only ways that I can slip away from the madness for a while. I hope everyone is able to find at least one thing that they can use to relax and slip away.

Please take the time to reach out to those around you, electronically. Especially if you are in college. Blackboard has a button under tools that lets you email all the students in the class at once. In my French class today, only 5 people showed up (on zoom). And of those 5, one just had a grandpa die from coronavirus. The other said she is struggling really bad with mental health issues because her appointments are getting cancelled and she can’t get help. Let people know you are there for them. Tell them about counseling services your school may be offering via phone or internet right now. Many are. Stay safe and healthy please.

After seeing the username that @taylorswift apparently had on tiktok, it made me realize that she really can be anywhere. When I was on the swiftlife, I had tons of “guest” accounts that followed me or liked me posts, and there was usually a string of numbers after the word guest. I LOVED that app. It meant so much to me. It was the only social media I have ever been consistent on, and I met so many amazing swifties there. I felt confident enough to post a lot of and do life updates. It made me confident. It got me through a rough time.

But now I am just afraid that she WAS following me and I somehow screwed up my chance to meet her and tell her everything that I want to tell her. I’m terrified that I made a dumb post or maybe said the wrong thing. I don’t think I ever posted anything like that, but now I will always wonder. Agh.

I wanted to badly to get a TN notice or Taylor notice on my art and stuff that I put on there. So that I could see they actually saw it and saw the time and care I put into it! On like the last week that the app was up, I finally had a post reach the swiftsend feed! But it seemed like Taylor and TN were long gone by then. And I know it was for legal reasons, but I just wish they had been able to see it. Or see any of the posts I made on there talking about how much Taylor’s music, interviews, etc mean to me and the difficult times they helped me get through. From my anxiety about joining the military, to the harassment I endured while in, to the injury and reconstructive surgery I had to get, to being medically discharged and feeing lost, and then the immense obstacle of powering through it to now be in college and doing so well. So much of it was support and strength I found in Taylor’s music and passionate speeches.

All of those posts are gone, but I still have the app on my phone because it reminds me of a lot of fun I had with other swifties! And it kills me that I will never know what those three notifications are! Were they T /Tn notices? I also loved that there was a small spot for a message to Taylor on the app, and your phone number. I wanna still have a sharp pen, and a thin skin, and an open heart.

I really wish that @taylorswift would sell physical copies (maybe autographed) of Only The Young and donate the proceeds to a foundation that helps with youth voter registration. Or a foundation that helps with transportation for young voters to the precincts on Election Day! Even one that helps with getting absentee ballots to youth that are away at college or stationed away for military duty: BOTH of which have effected me over the years. Every since I was 18 I was either in the Navy, stationed with my husband afterwards while he was still in, or going to a college out of my home state (now). But, I have always taken the time to vote, like these pictures with my absentee ballot during the midterm elections of 2018. Not everyone understands their rights or how to get them though. So these proceeds would help a lot! @taylornation

I don’t know if this has ever been discussed before, but there’s something that always crosses my mind when I listen to Cruel Summer.

I see the bridge as an extension of that. She feels bad that they have to go through so much, and she is trying to defend and qualify their relationship, saying that it’s worth it because she loves him. Although they have to deal with all of it, he is willing to take that chance for her. So, “he looks up grinning like a devil,” as in he is willing to roll the dice on their relationship.
