not an art post but i've been looking through road 96's files and have found some cool things in its texture2d folder. lots of placeholder stuff.

this one (titled 'IMG_CreditPlaceholder.png') is my favorite. it looks like there was a version of road where you play a preexisting character rather than a randomly generated one. the formula's still more or less the same, set money and distance from the border.

this one (titled 'placeholder-magazine-people-story.png') is quite... pinteresting! still keeping the whole '10 years since tragic event' thing, and the goat sonya is still here. but arizonastan ?? sexy bodyguard ??

this ('jarod_1985archive_placeholder.png') is an odd looking one. looks to be about lola and the attack.

these ones (left to right: 'placeholder_lockpick3.png', 'placeholder_luckyday1.png', 'placeholder_lockpick2.png', 'placeholder_lockpick5.png', 'placeholder_lockpick4.png') are, from what i can gather, stills from a bunch of movies. some of them resemble different ways to cross the border. not sure what the file names mean.

this one ('TEX_DeathCertificate.png') isn't a placeholder to my knowledge, but i find it interesting. i don't remember there being any death certificates in the game ?? there probably is, and im forgetting, but at this moment i am interested.
