im sad to be losing her. angry she left me. relieved she can’t hurt me. scared of what things will be like now between us and our mutual friends. excited to do the things she held me back from. it’s a lot!! but here’s my takeaway from this relationship: if you’re embarrassed to share the way you’re being treated with the friends+family who love you, then you aren’t being treated right. tragic backstories are an explanation and not an excuse to hurt you.
