This summer, MCSR Events returns for a Reverse Big Bang, in which artists create art pieces which writers will then write for!! The event will take place through the Discord server linked here. The rules and format can be found beneath the cut!
Dates:
21st June - Artist Signups open
25th June - Artist Signups close, Artist Creation Period begins
12-13th July - Artist Check-in + Artist Completion Form released + Writer Signups open
18th July - Artist Creation Period ends
19th July - Pair Matching begins + Writer Signups close
24th July - Writer Creation Period officially begins
9-10th August - Writer Check-in (Artists will complete too)
20th August - Writer Creation Period ends
23rd August - Posting Period begins
31st August - Posting Period ends
Reverse Big Bang events will run as follows:
Participants will join a Discord server, as this is where the event will be run through.
Artists will fill out an artist signup form to indicate their interest in creating a piece for this event.
Artists will have an allocated period of time to create an art piece. It must be stand-alone and MCSR-related, in order for writers to not require extra context to write for it. One check-in will occur.
Artists will submit a link to their work, some information about it, and what themes they are comfortable/uncomfortable with being included in the writer's piece. It is crucial that artists meet the allocated deadline, as pair matching must open afterwards.
Pair matching begins. I will match writers and artists based on what artists have submitted during their completion and what writers have submitted during their signup. There is a small element of first come, first served to this. Afterwards, I will then DM both members of the team respectively to inform them of who they have been put with. Should there be any situations in which you are not comfortable with working with your allocated person, please DM me and I will sort things out.
Writer creation period opens, and writers will work to write their corresponding piece. Communication with the artist should occur here to ensure that everything written is okay with them. The piece must be at a minimum 3k words. One check-in will occur.
Posting period begins for both artists and writers, afterwards, and they should tag each other's pieces in their posts. There will be one form to complete after completion, but none for posting - don't forget to tag the mcsr-events Tumblr blog! Once all participants have posted, the event is over.
Reverse Big Bang Event rules:
You agree to do your best to produce one standalone, MCSR-related art piece if you are an artist. If you are a writer, you agree to work with your artist on creating a fic to complement the art the artist has created.
If you at any point feel you are unable to continue with your piece, be it fic or art, you must contact @ilyfynn by opening a ticket or DM.
As per Discord, Ao3 and Tumblr TOS, you must be at least 13 years old to participate. You must have a Tumblr and Discord account.
Shipping is allowed for the event. Don't like, don't read - practice typical fandom etiquette.
Dark, violent or triggering topics must be appropriately tagged.
No NSFW content.
Writers must respect the wants and DNWs of their artist, and appropriate communication should take place to ensure this.

Something just clicked in my brain where I had to make an elaborate piece of fanart with these amazing character designs the second I saw them, so I took the opportunity to sit down and finally learn Clip Studio Paint properly. Logo was made by kianamaiart and julietran.jpg on instagram. I just cropped out the solid background color for this fan poster to give it some extra flair.
