Hi!! I'm Arthur!! I'm from Galar and I like battling, both with and without Pokémon!!
I'm 18, and an ex-gym challenger, and a professional archer, hobbyist footballer, and an active combat trainer! Oh, and I battle with my Pokémon a lot! I know lots about types and Pokémon biology, and I wanna be a professor, or a sorta physical therapist for Pokémon!
Here's me! And my team!!
(I don't look exactly like this!! But it's close!! I'm a guy with pink and yellow hair! The pink is natural but the yellow isn't!)
Other than me, there's:
Lancelot, my Cinderace! He's my partner from childhood and my footie partner. He can Gigantamax!!
Gawain, my Corviknight! She was a common guest in our backgarden, so she became a family friend!!
Galahad, my Alcremie! She helps with baking!
Palamedes, my Hatterene! She's a little aggressive, but has warmed up to the team since her capture!
Tristan, the acronym for my Falinks! Tee, Arr, Ai, Ess, Thé, and En! Diligent and organised! More than me...
And Mordred, my Flapple! He was originally a Valentine's day gift from a really old partner, but now I'm taking care of him forever!
With summer rolling around, remember that our Pokemon companions have to deal with the heat too! Not every pokemon can beat the heat, especially some ice types, so here are some tips and tricks to make sure you and your team get to enjoy the summer!
1. Never leave your partner alone in the car while it's turned off! Cars can be a hot and sweaty nightmare even with the windows down and the AC blasting! They're even worse when you're locked in with little airflow and no water! If you have to leave the car, take your pokemon with you in their pokeball!
2. Make sure you have some shade nearby, and use pokemon safe sunscreen when it applies/is possible! Not only does the sun contribute to the heat, but plenty of pokemon risk drying out or even getting burnt if left out in the sun for too long! This includes many grass types! While many do appreciate the sun, there is such things as too much for some species!
3. Water! Bring so much water! A lot of people think the little water they have on them is enough! It's probably not! You need a lot more than you think, especially on a hot summer day, and you need even more if you plan on bringing your pokemon with you! Many water and grass types especially need plenty of water to stay stress free! Bring a large reusable bottle with you for yourself, and I like bringing a second bottle for my team as well!
4. Be aware of their types, and do research on that specific species! The Alolan subspecies of ninetails can spend a good amount of time in the heat compared to some other ice types, but just barely as they still prefer the colder mountain peaks! Fire types can survive extreme heat, some even living in volcanoes, but some like Houndoom and Arcanine may still want to let out excess heat by spewing smoke and flames and should be allowed to do so to prevent them from getting uncomfortable! Figure out what strategies and schedules work for you and your team AHEAD of time, and don't be afraid to ball them if they seem to be struggling!
5. POKEBALLS! USE THEM! I have mentioned them a few times on this list but it needs to be said! While some pokemon may dislike their ball, and being cooped up for long periods of time can cause harmful effects, a few minutes to an hour in their pokeball to cool down if overheating or avoid having to deal with the heat in general is harmless and usually tends to be downright beneficial to many pokemon! Please do not risk your weavile getting heatstroke because it dislikes it's ball! A short amount of discomfort so you can safely bring it home is always worth it. I know some people may be worried about the heat breaking the pokeball, especially in hotter climates, but you don't have to worry! Unless the ball has some sort of defect or was badly made, most pokeballs are built to withstand extreme temperatures to keep up with the wide variety of pokemon and demanding journeys some trainers end up on! If you're still nervous, you can purchase specialty balls made by independent craftsmen and small businesses specifically built with a focus on dealing with extreme temperatures and preform a ball transfer.
Obviously there's probably plenty of things I forgot or couldn't include! If you have anything you'd like to share about helping our pokemon friends stay happy and healthy during the hotter months of the year, you're totally free to add to this post!

I see others are jumping into the water. Someone needs to take care of Memphis as well. I will be diving to check underwater, and then searching from above on Vista.

Ofc Kai didn't reach out to comfort you about an insult someone flung AT HER that's the dumbest most selfish thing I have ever heard.
She is literally in crisis right now and all you can think about is how much what someone said to her hurts YOUR feelings. This isn't about you. Go help Amarys find her or stfu fr
When the HELL did I ever say that?! Don't put words in my mouth. You think I haven't been terrified for their sake, too?! You think I haven't been worried?! You think that I don't WANT TO try looking for them?! You think I don't WANT TO help?! If I could, I WOULD BE- Trust me, I fucking would be-
Kieran, kid, don't listen to these people. Kai's in good hands, she wasn't able to respond because she's out cold, but help's arriving.
Take some time to cool down, kid. If what was said's impacted you too, it isn't surprising. Your pain doesn't need to be any better or worse than anyone else's to be worth hearing out and soothing.
I'm really disappointed in that anon. Do better, whoever you are. And Kieran, drink some water and find someone to talk to, yeah?
Still, I- I want to be able to... To actually do something... I'm sick and tired of just- Just being helpless like this... And it's- I'm always like this... Just forget it- And Atlas is still... He's still here- Doubt he's gonna leave anytime soon...
You've mentioned before being in pain and not feeling able to do things, right? Being able to get up and speak to people is a huge achievement in itself, then! It may not seem it, but I mean it with all my heart.

There's a quiet knock at your door, and an awkward cough.
"Aye, er, Amarys, right? It's Arthur- I'm just here to say hi to all the students. And- Also check how you are doing..?"
[//@bright-knight-star-light, minor rp! Feel free to engage or no <:))]
Amarys does have an office. It is part of the Student Council meeting room. But she found using it meant that she only ever received visits from Student Council members. And so, in her quest to ensure she is accessible to all, she uses her dorm like an office.
Sure, it was poor sleep hygiene. But since making the switch she noticed a significant increase in general student visits, to ask about their own club requests or League questions or anything else. Which, while disruptive, only increased the general student body's trust in her. So by her estimation, it was worth the trade off.
Her gaze flicked up from her current project to see Arthur standing in the doorway. She gave a curt nod at his greeting, meeting it with her own. "Greeting, Arthur. It is a pleasure to connect. You are to be a new assistant instructor here at the Academy, correct?"
He eyes the room beyond the doorframe, and surmises that its appearance is quite in line with what he expected of Amarys, from what he had seen.
"You're right on the money, Amarys! Officially starting next term, but.. Here to find my way around early! And get to know the kids a bit better. Speaking of..."
He has a bag swinging by his side, obviously weighed down by whatever is inside. He carries it with ease, a feat that was more impressive a few floors ago when it was full, compared to now, when the parcels are dwindling.
He rummages around inside, pulling out a small, neat, rectangular package.
Amarys, who has not yet risen from her seat and has instead simply been speaking through the ajar door, stares at the chocolate for a moment. Then, apparently coming to a conclusion, she gets up from her seat and accepts the box.
"Thank you." Her expression does not change. She does not seem particularly grateful. She is. "Do you require anything else?"
He keeps smiling. He does notice her lack of reaction, and a small part of him involuntarily withers, but he chides himself for it inside. Stay focussed, Art! He almost sighs out loud to pump himself up, but resists the urge with all his might.
"Well, this is as much a check-in as a greeting. I'm just going around to make sure everyone's feeling okay! So... You feeling alright?"
Amarys takes another moment to process, unblinking. She was not used to faculty members behaving in this way, and it was taking her a moment to locate the correct protocols when interacting with an adult that was actually competent.
"...Insofar as I am willing to admit to a stranger, affirmative. I am fine. Are you feeling alright yourself?" Mirroring questions back at people after responding was an important step in small talk interactions. She knows this.
If you so answer, a young man is stood outside, definitely looking down on you. He's holding a shopping bag full of rectangular wrapped parcels.
"Hi there, kid! I'm Arthur! It's nice to meet you!" He hands you a parcel. It's full of... Chocolate?
[@bright-knight-star-light]
It takes a long while for the door to open. Scrabbling can be heard from the other side, and faint swears.
When it does, a gloved hand reaches around the doorframe.
"Who goes there."
The voice is scratchy, and has a vaguely Kalosian lilt to it. The boy quickly peeks his head around. His entire face is covered by a messily-applied facemask and sunglasses.
Arthur is... Confused to say the least. What sorta kid wears full obscuring facewear inside..? Come to think of it, he'd heard small talkings about one of the kids in the upper floor rooms never leaving for any reason.
..He didn't have any reason to push. That'd be rude.
"Howdy! I'm just here to... Yknow, check in on the students! I'm a new teacher her, so it'd be good to get to know my future students, right?"
He more insistently hands over the chocolate, still smiling.
"No, I know, don't worry!" He holds up a thumbs up.
"I used no milk! It was a bit of a challenge, but I've managed to make dairy-free chocolate! For you! See? I even wrapped it differently~ Accessing student files is helpful for this!"

Cora opens the door, green hair a little messy as a Falinks marches back and forth in formation behind her. "Oh, hey, nice to meet you too! The name's Cora!"
"Yeah, Falinks are awesome! Mine's called Magnus, collectively. M's the brass and you just work backwards from there. I usually let out my Dodrio too, but Algebra has been in a screamy mood lately." She calls over her Falinks, who march in place beside her.
She gives a thumbs up. "Never better." Cora runs a hand through her messy hair, pulling out a knot as she does. "...My hair's always like that," she assures. "Maybe I should brush it."
