vampirishnight:
She had thought that what she was for fairly obvious. Her wings were impossible to hide in her current attire and she had made zero attempts to hide the fangs in her jaw. However it was possible that she was never exposed to legends regarding her kind. Which wasn’t out of the realms of possibilities.
“I’m a vampire. And before you can ask, no I’m not going to eat you or drink your blood or anything like that.” If anything that was reserved for anyone else she could find. And it still remained to be seen if she still had to continue that practice here. “But for the whole saving the world ordeal, I don’t know. I’m not even sure why I was brought in to handle a human issue. However since all of you dying would be bad for me, I don’t mind helping out a bit.”
Once the cube was presented to her she took a position by Polka’s side. Which gave her a better angle to see what she was doing on it. Patiently waiting for her to pull up the map she was looking for. Once it was presented to her again she examined the map. It wasn’t clear exactly where the room was located. But given how advanced the object looked, there had to be a way to get directions on it. At least something to give context to the map they were looking at.
“It’ll be nice if this thing could tell us where we are so we could know what direction to go in. I would hate for us to walk for hours in the opposite direction. Who knows how big this city is.”
Polka have heard of Vampires before, but what she was told about them was that they were unsightly creatures. Not pretty high-classed maidens. There was a bit of worry over the thought of her sucking the blood of other people, but since she was helping out to save everyone, maybe she could let it slide as long as she doesn’t kill anyone. Though going into a discussion over that would need to take place after they gotten out of their whole ‘lost’ predicament.
A nod was given in response as the Master once again looked at the cube, her eyes staring at it blankly. She was kinda hoping that her servant would understand this more than her.
“Yeah... There must be some way to figure that out.”
Or really any sort of directions on how to properly read this map. To her who was used to just following signs poster on what lies in each direction, an actual map was something she needed to get use to. A part of her hoped that maybe messing with this device more would produce something that could help out more.
Tapping the part of the map where their private room, Polka jumped a little as the cube suddenly started to speak.
“In 20 feet, turn right”
A bold blue line appeared on the map connecting the area she tapped to a red dot. Polka stared at it dumbfounded, not a clue what to make of it really.
“A-ah... It’s alive?”
