Thanks for the tag @chickycherrycola been slow at the writing this month, taking a much deserved break after finishing my resbang, but im still chipping away everyday at the wips so have a bit of graves/fountains for you today.

Stein's not shown up in days and tending the shop without him is dreadfully boring. I can’t stand it anymore and show up at his lab after another missed shift. Barging in, he's not at his desk or living room, not in his more concerning lab rooms, not anywhere to be seen at all really. Finally I try his bedroom, and he is there, though looking like death himself. “Well, I had come to complain about you skipping work, but you look so miserable, I—and I can’t believe I'm saying this—actually feel bad for you.” “Gee thanks,” he rasps. “Why don't you make yourself useful and leave?” “And what? Leave you to wither away? Why would I do that when this is the perfect time to harass you, when you can't do anything about it.” “How thoughtful of you.”

snippet sunday~ (7.19.26)

@silluuuu tagged me last week and for one reason or another I wasn't able to share, so... better late than never! I feel like all I've done this summer is work, and travel, and do pretty much everything but write 😭 however, the rest of July and August are looking quieter so hopefully (🤞) I'll have more downtime with my beloved words. In the meantime, I'll share a Summer Nights snippet for this week, since its ✨seasonally appropriate✨ for this time of year!

It wasn't a dream. It had all been quite real, if the press of Maka's bare skin against his side is anything to judge by. His bedroom looks like it always does on a Saturday morning, with soft yellowish light filtering in from the half-closed window blinds, except for the fact that there's a very naked woman lying next to him, and that very naked woman happens to be the girl of his dreams. She must sense him stirring— or perhaps, given her status as a proud, unapologetic morning person, she was already awake— since the endless green of her eyes is what greets him when he looks down at her. Green eyes with a mischievous sparkle in them, peeking out from under long lashes that flutter beckoningly at him in greeting. "You sleep like the dead," she says, a smile teasing at her lips. "I was starting to think I'd have to leave without saying goodbye, like some sort of... booty call."

I actually have a lot of hopeful projects right now - another SN chapter, a SoMa one-shot or two, some fics for a different ship week coming up next month... not to mention slowly shipping away at my original novel project. Time to lock the fuck in 💪
