In form as in content the spectacle serves as total justification for the conditions and aims of the existing system. It further ensures the permanent presence of that justification, for it governs almost all time spent outside the production process itself.
Society of the Spectacle by Guy Debord
Forward-thinking designers see the links between design and all that other stuff. Including of course, science, technology and a wide range of other interests. But the connections they’re willing to make between these other realms and design is not limited to just thinking. They put their hands where their minds are and make things, too.

This is a real revolution in education.
Hello everyone!
I’ve been busily working away for a while now on a few interrelated projects. This is the first one to come out. Its a short video explaining what it is I do and why I set up Bright Stem. There will be some more updates soon.
Thanks for all your support Andrew
New bright stem video gives an insight into how I use mind-maps in my creative work.
Making toast doesn’t sound very complicated -- until someone asks you to draw the process, step by step. Tom Wujec loves asking people and teams to draw how they make toast, because the process reveals unexpected truths about how we can solve our biggest, most complicated problems at work. Learn how to run this exercise yourself, and hear Wujec’s surprising insights from watching thousands of people draw toast.

Its growing… #mindmap
Started a mind map for the open studios event this week. Will also be giving a short talk about my work at black box on wed.
“Nodes are Twitter handles, and their connections represent who follow relationships,” said Lotan in a blog post explaining the visualization. “The larger a node, the higher its centrality, the more followed that account is within this group. The closer together two nodes, the more connections they share. Different colors represent communities, effectively regions that display significant levels of connectivity; nodes of the same color are much more interconnected compared to the rest of the graph.” Green represents Twitter accounts and connections with more pro-Hamas messages, gray circles neutral journalist and news feeds, the light blue are pro-Israel feeds, and the darker blue are US conservatives who are pro-Israel.

Ofer: Thank you Mr. Albert Einstein for joining this interview. And thank you also very much for being a dyslexic genius. One of the major misconceptions that people have is that people with dyslexia have a lower intelligence. That is ridiculous of course… Mr. Albert Einstein: “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe”. Ofer: Your son Hans Einstein has be quoted as saying that your “ teachers reported that . . . you were mentally slow, unsociable, and adrift forever in his foolish dreams”. How do you describe your experiences at school and with your teachers? Mr. Albert Einstein: “Most teachers waste their time by asking questions which are intended to discover what a pupil does not know. Whereas the true art of questioning has for its purpose to discover what the pupil knows or is capable of knowing”.

What is going on? I wondered. Have I ever experienced anything like this before? Have I ever felt like this before? This feels like a migraine. What is happening in my brain? The harder I tried to concentrate, the more fleeting my ideas seemed to be. Instead of finding answers and information, I met a growing sense of peace. As the language centers in my left hemisphere grew increasingly silent, my consciousness soared into an all-knowingness, a “being at one" with the universe, if you will. In a compelling sort of way, it felt like the good road home and I liked it.

Montage made by myself around 10 years ago. Exploring the line between abstraction and realism with the aim of representing a road trip to the countryside.
Love the way the images get larger in this pic as your eyes move up the wall. Also love the use of the washing line and pegs.
