/ i am going to put tristan on a short hiatus for the time being, i will be posting s starter call at some point but, i just want to give it some.time for his muse to come back a little more first. again, i am starting over with threads and dropping the ones i have now just to start anew. all threads still happened, and relationships / dynamics will stay the same as well.
/ so, i have come to the decision that i am going to drop threads and what is in my inbox & just post a fresh starter call. i'm just extremely picky with tristan and don't want to force it and make him sound ooc in replies. i will post a starter call either tomorrow or monday, since i will be home both days.

/ my muse for tristan has been super finicky lately which tends to happen since i do write him outside of tumblr but, for now, i moved my queue to one post a day so i don't get overwhelmed by drafts while he's off doing god knows what. if you want to write while i try to wake his ass up, you can find me on my multi :)
honestly, consider this a semi hiatus for now! :/ i'm going to try to do replies this weekend! Debating starting all new threads too, that may be the issue as well. We will see how it goes this weekend and if that's the case, I might drop most threads aside from a select few, and post a starter call or something.

Alice wanted to laugh at the idea that she didn't understand what it was like to be trapped by the supernatural, to be chained--chained, what irony--to that hidden layer of the world with no way to escape, but couldn't. All she could do was flinch back from the venom in his tone, the resentment and rage condensed into one single word.
This.
She was part of the 'this' dragging him down. A wolf shaped like a girl, with 'cursed' blood in her veins and no remorse in her heart for the life she'd taken that had freed the monster creature lying in wait inside her. She wasn't human and hadn't ever been, but there had never been a moment in their friendship where she'd felt the difference between them quite so deeply.
Tristan could have a normal life. He could, if he let the vervain pass out of his system and had Caroline or someone else they could trust compel his knowledge of the supernatural away. Forgetting was a possibility for him, even if it would never be a real option. Taking that path would be against everything Tristan was, so Alice let the suggestion die silently on the back of her tongue and buried it as deep as they could go.
She sank down to sit cross-legged across from him, reaching up to tuck her hair behind her ears, and tried to figure out how to quell the snarling, desperate beast inside of her, howling for her to do something.
To fix it.
To make him listen.
To save him.
Looking down at her hands, she took a slow inhale, held her breath, then let it out. "Death follows Damon around like a fucking shadow," she said finally, "and if I have to bury you because of him or Elena... because Ric keeps asking you to help them... I don't know what I'll do. We can't stay here."
he lifted his gaze when she sat in front of him, his brows furrowing when she spoke. she was right, death did follow the eldest salvatore brother, and he seemed to kill anything that got in his way these days. he was surprised that alaric had survived as long as he had but, he even had a few setbacks over the years, and did die at one point. only for him to be brought back in a way that he didnât even think was possible. and lately, it seemed like the male was living his life. especially now that he had jo. but, because he had jo now â he was always sending tristan off to do his dirty work. it was almost as if he did that because he knew that tristan didnât have anyone waiting for him at home. he wondered if he suffered the same fate as alaric did in the past if anyone would try to bring him back but, he already knew the answer to that was no. the only one in town that seemed to give a crap about him was alice and at times, caroline but, he felt like that was forced.Â
â where would we go? â he asked finally, killing the silence that had settled between them for a few minutes after she had spoke. â where do you want to go? â he felt defeated but, he knew that she wouldnât give up the thought about wanting to leave. he knew that she would never take no for an answer. â we could go to my cabin in washington. â he offered, knowing he wouldnât want to stay there for long either but, at least he was willing to give he a destination so, it was progress he guessed.

Ah - for all her poking and prodding it did not actually occur to her that he might be reactive to the idea of her being a vampire - which is why she's still rooted in the same spot, bandage dangling uselessly in her hands.
"I didn't mean for you to see that," which was true. "But I've been dropping hints the entire time we've known each other hoping you'll work it out." Not exactly a strong ending to that sentiment, but they've reached the goal she's been driving toward so she can't exactly be fussy with how they got there.
"Darling, please. You're still bleeding. At least let me finish patching you up and then you can have a crisis without losing any more blood. I'm not going to hurt you, or anything." Privately, Bella sniffs that really, she could have done that at any time - but saying so out loud will definitely not help her case. "Or at least take this and put it on yourself," She offers, holding the bandage out at arm's length.
he had always assumed that there was something off about her but, he never immediately went to calling her a vampire in case he was wrong. he had been wrong many times in the past, and had to explain to some that he didnât actually think they were a vampire, and that he was just joking. those people never thought he was funny, and didnât take the â joke â that lightly. which, was why he didnât want to assume that she was one off the bat because he did enjoy her company, and he didnât want to run her off like the rest. But, clearly, he shouldâve just went with his intuition on this one. then maybe, this all wouldâve been avoided.Â

"Oh, absolutely." Her grin was huge. "I love the John Wick movies - though I haven't seen the last one yet." He seemed to like talking about this much more than the movie, which suited her just fine - this was something she'd seen before, after all. "I think the Fast and Furious movies have gotten ridiculous, but also isn't that why you watch them? I wouldn't put them quite in the same category, since all the violence and action is focussed around the cars, but still a good couple of hours of nonsense action."
At his explanation, Hartley nods. She'd been thinking of movies where the monster was the villain but that made a lot more sense, especially for what she knew of Tristan's character. "Oh, a classic." Hartley grins, "Good choice. Have you ever gone to stay at the hotel?" She remembered reading an article that you could stay there (and apparently patrons who did experienced heightened paranormal activity) but couldn't now remember the name of it.
â you know, i havenât actually watched any of the john wick movies. iâve put them on but, i always fall asleep. â and it wasnât because the movie was bad by any means. he just had a habit of turning on a movie after a hunt, and crashing on the couch before the opening credits even started. â i havenât watch a fast and furious movie in years, not since high school. â he kind of fell off on keeping up with them after everything that had happened when he was a teen. but, from what he had seen and heard, he hadnât missed much in regards to any plot in that movie franchise.Â
â i havenât actually, but it is on my life's bucket list. â the bucket list that he had maybe done one or two things on. but, he was going to try to get around to getting to things on the list now that he was getting older. he figured that he might as well fit in something off his bucket list in between both his jobs. â would that ever be something you would do, or do you think youâd get too scared?

She ignores the chasm of loneliness that opens up, threatening to swallow her whole. It's easier just to pretend it doesn't exist when she's out, sharing a table with Tristan on a relatively steady night at the Grill. Here, she can act like it's not going to suck her down into its depths the minute she's home alone in the echoing crypt of her house. Romantic love's not the be all and end all--especially when the kind that feels mostly unrequited, if it can even really be called love at all--but there's something to be said for having someone to share a bed with some of the time.
"--Half salt and pepper and half honey garlic?" she suggests, turning her head to make eye contact with Tristan. "Or do you want something spicier? Buffalo? I don't mind..."
"You just told Matt to cut me off," she reminded him, settling back into the rhythm of their outing. "But he might give you another round, if you want one. I'm thinking I might go with sweet tea or, oh, maybe a milkshake. What goes better with chocolate ice cream, honey garlic or buffalo?"
â as long as i get most of the honey garlic, iâll be fine. â he was going to try his best to keep the rest of the night as fun and light-hearted as much as he could. he knew the previous topic of conversation was a downer and it wasnât something that neither one of them should fixate on. relationships were weird, and it was something that he didnât seek out himself. his last date as a with a vampire and that really didnât go all that well considering he had zero idea that she was a vampire until someone brought it up. and before that, his last date was with someone back home and that didnât go as planned either. sure, he dated the girl back home but, it didnât go as planned and it wasnât really a relationship he liked bringing up. in fact, he was pretty sure he had never told alice about it, and that was saying something considering he practically told her everything about his life before here. well, everything that mattered at least.Â
â oh â right, heâd probably say no to serving you anymore. â he sighed, reaching forward to finish off the rest of the beer in his glass. â you know what? iâm done drinking for now too. if we want to continue, we can just do it whenever we get back to my place. â he shrugged, pushing his glass off to the side. â honestly, i think a milkshake would taste disgusting with either of those two flavors. but, maybe buffalo would be tolerable if you want a milkshake that bad. â
