Do you have a lore sheet for Tucker? Curious about his age range
Sure do, Anon! I've copied and pasted his lore sheet below. <3
Tucker (self-made luck) Age: 30s
Tucker came into the world with Jason, so he always figured he would leave it with him too. They were twins, and even though he was only the youngest by fifty-five seconds, Jason was his big brother. From dirty kids playing cops and robbers to teens beating up the weaker, dumber kids, they did everything together. Jason would lead, and Tucker followed.
It was he who brought home some stolen chips from the casino down the highway - it was he who swiped the book on counting cards after school, and it was he who worked the girls at the bar to figure out which of the dealers were hungover that evening.
They played to win like they always had, preying on the weak.
Obscene amounts of money could be made in a night that most people didn’t see in a year. Tens of thousands of dollars, and they blew through it as fast as they could win it. Jason was the brain, always good at the math stuff and memory games, but Tucker could flash a smile and flex some muscle to get what he wanted. The ladies were simple-minded. The dealers were just as fragile as the women.
With money, he could buy whatever he wanted, including them and the hussies behind the bar.
The problem was that when you did something too much and too well, people took notice. The wrong guys picked up on their game, and they were too high off the thrill and the cash to give a shit. They stayed at one casino for too long. They got sloppy. Enemies were reapers in the desert, and before he knew it, they’d been bashed in the back of the head and dumped several dozen miles away from civilization.
Both of them got cracked skulls, but Tucker has always been the thick-headed one of the bunch. Jason was the smarts - the weaker of the two. Every day, Jason reminded both of them of it: he was the brain, and Tucker was the muscle. But smarts don’t matter when it comes to hammers in the back of the head.
Jason was a vegetable by the time he hit the ground, but Tucker wouldn’t leave him to the vultures like some people. Limping - head splitting open with pain - Tucker dragged him across miles and miles of hot morning desert sand until high noon burnt their scalps and blistered their faces. He walked on until the sun fell over the cliffs and the body he dragged beside him in the sand went cold.
It was his fault. The goons descended, and he wasn’t tough enough to throw the hounds off like he was supposed to do. Never smart enough - never as smart as Jason.
When night came, he collapsed in the blue sand. He wasn’t too far behind his twin because, after all, they were supposed to leave this place the way they entered it, even if he’d gotten them both there. Instead of tunnel vision, or those halos that every bible thumper speaks about when they die, Tucker saw headlights.
Wade saved him, called a guy on the down-low to fix the dent in his head, and gave Jason a proper desert funeral beneath a big rock with a scorpion fossil stained on the cleaved side. The next day he gets the scorpion and ‘Jason’ tattooed into his skin as a reminder of the brother he lost and the one he gained. Wade - just like Jason - could tell him to do anything and he’d fucking do it because Wade was the smarts and Tucker was the muscle.
Tattoos: the scorpion is for the rock Wade buried his brother under. ‘Jason’ in remembrance of his twin brother. The hatch marks for the men and women Wade has had him kill, and the ace of hearts for his gambling skills (or lack thereof).
Scalp Scar: for the hammer he took to the head when he and his brother got caught counting cards.
Crowbar: because it was the most well-used thing in Wade’s shed.
Childhood/Twin: born as a twin to his ‘older’ brother Jason, which made them an inseparable team before and during their gambling streak.
Relationship to Wade: rescued by him in the desert and had his head fixed up. He admires Wade to a fault and takes every order he gives with relish.
