The problem isn’t that they’re racist, it’s the inherent issue with properly rendering race in pretty much any video game. The only races I’ve seen properly depicted in gaming history have been whites, blacks and asians. Engine related reasons as well as possibly art team related reasons are why other races aren’t properly depicted as they should be.

This said, using Overwatch is a somewhat good example of exploiting an overall art style to properly depict race. Most other dev teams either don’t think of it, can’t think of a way around it or simply don’t have the time to find a way. I can’t think of a reason why Ubi Montreal wouldn’t do the same, but then again they’re more busy pushing out all the shit they can, garbage or not, for Siege.

I at first had the idea of Melusi hating Kapkan’s guys, but i actually think they would have a mutual respect for each other. Kapkan respects her conservation efforts, and Melusi respects his “only take what you need” mentality towards hunting.

Kapkan enjoys the hunt, but i always headcanon him as a staunch hater of overhunting, hunting endangered species, etc. Hunting as a means of survival, and hunting when park and forest rangers are sending out overpopulation warnings, are what he deems acceptable. He enjoys hunting people more :o)!!!!
