It's weird coming back to tumblr

Been a bit...
Iāve been extremely busy with college and my job so I havenāt been on tumblr like...since last year. :/
Now that Iāve graduated. Now that Iāve spent 4 years writing essays drinking rockstar at 2 in the morning, trying really hard to get some form of payment, enduring the nagging, the homelessness, the depression, imbalance in my life i had to try to rearrange...I donāt know what the hell to do now XD
And here we go...
I find it difficult to be quiet when my mom is lecturing me about things that areĀ āsinfulā. Yes she was born and raised in a different time but I feel she gets to be a bit of a hypocrite. Iām 18 years old, still havenāt told her Iām bisexual and quietly just let her lecture about how human reproductive systems donāt suggest God wanted us to be gay or lesbian or whatever. I donāt think that that God exists. In the religions Iāve ātried outā God is trying to teach everyone to be peaceful, understanding people who all have to better themselves and learn how to forgive. Not how to be hateful and twist the words of the bible into those they deem fit because they are hateful people.

I stole a snow globe from an airport gift shop when I was 4, and then when I was 6 I found out what stealing was and that it was bad, and i had nightmares about the police coming to get me every night for 3 months until my parents finally brought me to a therapist and he made them buy plane tickets just so that I could return the snow globe that i'd stolen 2 years earlier. The manager thought it was so funny that he sends me snow globes every year on the "steal-iverasary"

Friends.
I never really had a best friend. I think a best friend is someone who looks for you and has put up with your life's bull shit the longest and still wants to hang out with you, as you do the same for them. I thought I had a best friend twice in my life. Its sad to think but I had a best friend for five years until her mother gained custody of her and we lost each others numbers. She has a facebook page but I feel its no use to contact her, she changed, badly it seems and I carry a slight guilt from that. I feel like if I had looked for her earlier I might have influenced her a bit. The second time was completely fake. The girl who called me her best friend lied to me, ditched me several times and now talks to my ex-boyfriend. I had helped her through potential anorexia, I listened to her when she was talking about her parents divorce and I spent a whole night trying to help her find a shred of evidence that her boyfriend from Egypt was real. I had my own crap going on, My father decided to stop speaking to me with no reason why, my mother would yell at me for everything, my ex would verbally abuse me and when I would be so numb from what I had done to myself, he would take advantage of that. My trip to Puerto Rico might have saved my life, there I met wonderful people who helped me realize I was better than what I was doing, than what I thought of at the time. Then, I returned here due to loss of funds, bounced around houses, hotels, motels, until one day my family didn't have to worry about being homeless because a really nice person let us rent a palace of an apartment on the beach. As an adult now, I wonder if this large group of people I spend my days with now are going to be big part of my life, if any of them are going to truly be there for me, like I know I am going to be for them.

Why do some guys just hide from the girl they have a crush on, even when its obvious?
My reasons.
I think I always knew I was bisexual. Even as a little girl I questioned what was so wrong about possible monogamy with either men or women. I remember one occasion where I was speaking with my mother on 5th ave in Brooklyn and for some reason the topic of my sexuality came up. I was only ten and she had said "Don't have any crushes on boys yet" like any little girl I responded with "I don't like boys." and my mom had then said something that, as you can see, stuck in my head for many years.
"You don't....like girls do you?"
I had panicked. I didn't know what I should say. I thought about both like that. Although I was smart to say "No, mom I don't like girls" I wonder what she would have done if for maybe in that moment she would have accepted me. I can never tell my mother, I fear. I feel like she would disown me or something in that sense if I ever told her the same way I'm attracted to some guys I'm attracted to some girls. I think she is a hypocrite she is friends with gay/lesbian people and appears to be okay with it, but behind their backs she remembers the Catholicism people taught in the 1970s to her and how "being with the person the same sex as you is a sin"
Even so, it's sad for me. I know my sexuality I don't feel there is a need for me to "pick one side" so to speak, yet I feel so selfish because I know there are people who don't just accept their, um, bi-ness... they feel like they need to pick a side, that bi is just temporary and not an actual sexuality.
