Kian was beyond ready for the lightning to hit Gringotts, and when it didn’t, when Diagon Alley went dark, he joined everyone in their panic. It took a second to settle in, but soon he was hurrying around. His first instinct was to look for any familiar face, one of his siblings or his friends. The last time something crazy happened, he was safely at home with Lydia. Now, everyone was scattered and he hated it. There were flashes of silver here and there, and he could hear the casting of spells. As his mind raced, he was looking anywhere but directly in front of himself and ran right into someone. “What the hell- sorry, you okay? Why’re you just standing there? D’you have any idea what’s goin’ on?”
Brinley was standing - completely frozen - facing Gringotts as if she were completely hypnotized by it. People screamed and ran around her and she couldn’t move. Like a deer in the headlights, she seemed oblivious to everything around her until suddenly somebody slammed directly into her. Skittering to catch her balance, she turned to the familiar face, snapping out of her trance, “Kian? Kian! Thank god you’re okay,” she gasped, reaching for his hand and giving it a tight squeeze. “It’s so good to see you.”
