"Then you must not be very good at hiding it." He pushed a bottle towards her. "Let's fix that."

“Your ghost will be too busy fawning over Davies,” Damian responded, mocking Mason’s face when he first arrived. “In a shop without windows maybe?”

"That was so funny i forgot to laugh," Mason deadpanned. "And there you go being daft again. Right when I thought you were tolerable. There were windows, twit."

“By the time they had finished cooking and I came out, they weren’t letting anyone back into the Alley. I count that as a win. More for me.”

"I'll remember this Pucey," Mason daunted, giving the younger a mock scowl. "You're just lucky I hadn't died. I would be haunting you."

“Well if you think you can do better, be my guest!” she offered, motioning for him before realizing the board still flashed with a giant ‘V’. “I get another go?” she questioned, looking back at him before shrugging and accepting it. Her second throw was better, though she still had four pins standing after that attempt. “See, I advanced to four thingy’s down. So, I’m clearly going to win.”

“I’m pretty sure I can, yes.” He said, making to move before realizing that sh e had another turn. This game was so odd. “Don’t you think it’s a little too early to presume that? I haven’t even gone yet.” Mason was shocked to see the pins replaced, his brow furrowed as he stared down the lane. “They came back? I don’t understand.”

“Yes, because in that scenario, I am not one of the people left behind in that mess.” He shrugged. “And I would have brought some back. That’s just inconsiderate.”

“Good to know that if your friends were possibly dying you would ditch them in favor of pizza. True friendship, right there.”

“Well you’re about to,” Victoire chimed, spinning on her heel in her funky shoes and grabbing a light ball. “So knock as many down as possible?” she asked, looking at the other people to get an idea of how to achieve said task. She noticed they were rolling it along the floor, so she mirrored them. Knocking just two end ones down. “Oh. Ok this is actually hard without magic.”

Mason scoffed again, his arms crossing over his chest as he reclined in his chair, his feet kicked up on the machine that somehow kept track of everything. “I’m sorry, what was that you said getting taught muggle style? What am I supposed to be learning? How not to play?”

Mason rolled his eyes, not bothering with the explanation as to why he couldn’t say no. It was his business, not Pucey’s. “At least it’s all over. Where did you wind up?”

“Are you scared you’re going to loose?” Victoire said, smirking over at him as she stepped past him. “Watch and learn Graves, you’re about to be taught, muggle style,” she added.

He rolled his eyes when she walked past, a scoff slipping from the back of his throat. “Me, lose? I never lose.”

“Come on, it will be fun. You just have to throw the ball down to the standy-up-thingys. I think,” Victoire said, nudging him forward towards the heavy balls. She’d dragged him bowling, hoping to pick up some of their friendship again. But even she didn’t know how to play it.

“Why would I throw a ball when I can wave a wand and knock them down,” he grumbled, glaring at the ball return as if it were some wretched beast. It certainly made enough noises to be considered one. Muggles made absolutely no sense to Mason. Their games were just as stupid as they were.
