There are three tropes I cannot resist.
1. Fake dating trope.
It's about the intimacy in public and shyness in private. Falling slowly in love, thinking the other doesn't feel that way, kissing them with fever and guilt because they think they're taking advantage of the situation but can't help themselves from wanting more.
2. Arranged marriage trope.
Especially tasty if they dislike each other at first, but decide to corporate in order to reach their goals. Power totally not couple. Kind of falls in the fake dating thing, but far more dramatic.
3. Whump trope.
One of them gets hurt, the other rushes to the rescue. Tender touches, held gazes, yearning in silence. All that good shit. Or even better, tearful anger, berating and tight hugs. The kisses and the sexual tension goes through the roof. Supreme trope. Romance solidified. It's 3 in the morning somebody take tumblr away from me.
