I'm down to my last couple uses of my Renee Rouleau Triple Berry Peel and Detox Mask. Her annual sale that ended last week arrived just in time for me to re-stock with 15% off. These are both great for acne prone skin and I try to do them once every week or so, but especially right before my time of the month.The Detox Mask is a gel mask that contains tea tree oil, which helps kill acne causing bacteria while also helping to bring down inflammation. ____ Have you tried any Renee Rouleau products? Here's my #skincareroutine for this morning, Sunday 9/15/19 ___ 1️⃣#Glossier Milky Jelly- low pH gel cleanser. One pump on damp skin leaves my skin clean and comfortable w/ no residue 2️⃣#Missha FTE mist- loved the original discontinued FTE, but it lives on in mist form. Brightening and hydrating, but I miss pouring a bunch in my hand and drowning my face in it. I've been spraying this into my hands and then patting in, but it's not quite the same 3️⃣#biologique querecherche Placenta Serum- stinky and watery skin repairer. Speeds up acne spot healing and calms irritation 4️⃣Oligo Protein Marine, on undereyes for brightening- watery and surprisingly no discernable scent. Haven't noticed any changes w/ using this, yet 5️⃣#Purito Hyaluronic Acid 90 Serum- unscented, watery, sinks right in, but doesn't deliver long lasting hydration. I prefer Paula's Choice HA, but I go through the PC quickly, so I've been testing other brands 6️⃣#paulaschoice Choice Niacinamide Booster*- gifted, but I've purchased multiple times, too. A brightener and skin repairer that sinks in quickly and is watery and non-sticky 7️⃣#Skinmedica Lytera 2.0, NP- pigment lightener containing Tranexamic acid, niacinamide and peptides. Many have good luck with this, but I haven't noticed any changes w/ it yet. The texture is much improved fr the original version, though 8️⃣Paula's Choice Power Berry Serum*- silicone free serum w/ antioxidants from 13 berries. Non-sticky and works well with other products. Nice option for those who find L-AA harsh 9️⃣#volitionbeauty Celery Green Cream*- oil free gel cream containing celery and other plant extracts, plus HA and peptides. Great for my oily skin this summer. Long lasting hydration without clogging & no added greasiness 🔟#Innisfree Anti Pollution Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++- Love this! Uvinyl A Plus, Tinosorb S, Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide are the UV filters. Applies smoothly, no pilling, almost no white cast and doesn't clog my pores 1️⃣1️⃣Glossier Birthday Balm Dotcom- the flavored balms are sweetened with saccharine, so are VERY sweet. I've misplaced my Innisfree Anti Pollution sunscreen, so I grabbed the nearest sunscreen which was the It's Skin UV Away. I posted a review on it earlier this week. Back in May, I made a Jolse order of several sunscreens and this was one of them. Since I'm allergic to a couple of chemical filters, I look for sunscreens that contain mineral filters and are also water resistant because facial sweating is a thing for me. This sunscreen from It's Skin contains Zinc Oxide and Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, is SPF 50 and PA+++. I prefer 4 PAs + and more UV filters, but the promise of being water resistant called out to me like a siren's song ☠️🧜🏼‍♀️ ___ I liked that this is a fairly light cream that applies smoothly. It wore well under makeup, but it definitely has some white cast. Since I always wear foundation, a little bit of sunscreen white cast isn't a big deal for me, but I know it can be a deal breaker for others. This held up really well on sweaty-faced days, though, so they did meet that claim. However, I won't be repurchasing, because the scent was very strong. It smelled like "aquatic" scented air freshener or Speed Stick Crisp Ocean Breeze (I made that up, but it could exist haha). In addition to the the intense, man deodorant scent, I also came back to my senses and remembered that I want a more varied mix of uv filters in my sunscreen. So, this wasn't for me in the end. ___ I've had many sunscreen disappointments this summer! Fortunately, nothing awful that would cause me to get a sunburn or anything, but it's been a Goldilocks-esque journey where it felt like nothing I tried was quite right. I did get one winner during this recent new sunscreen binge, the Innisfree Anti-Pollution Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++. 🙌🏼. I'll make a post about that one soon, because I haven't gone through a sunscreen so quickly, ever and I really enjoy using it. I feel like sunscreen is one of the trickiest product categories and where people get picky AF about every detail. Myself included, LOL! But, it's an essential daily product, so all the trials and errors are worth it to find the ones that I really love. Do you prefer lipstick or lip gloss? I'm definitely a gloss person. I was tempted to get a Pat McGrath gloss during the Sephora sale, but remembered that I had all of these, so I skipped it this time. I also read that her glosses aren't sticky at all, and I live for a tacky gloss, which I know isn't the norm. I was a 90s teen, so I grew up with Lancome Juicy Tubes and MAC Lipglass. 🙌🏼 MUFE also had an amazingly shiny gloss, similar to Lipglass, but smoother and slightly less sticky ___ I've also found it really challenging to find a green beauty lip gloss that I'm happy with. Most are pretty much tinted lip oils with very little shine and I've been disappointed with the ones I've tried so far, including the Kjaer Weis. It's a pretty color, but smells unpleasant (like vanilla scented Play Doh) is very low shine and needs constant reapplication. Don't plan to repurchase that one. Someone told me that Beautycounter glosses are nice. Officially out of Vitamin C serum, so I'm using one of my other antioxidant serums. I prefer something with L-Ascorbic Acid, but this Power Berry Serum* is a nice option for people whose skin can't handle L-AA.
