first off, i love your blog! secondly, how on earth do you get your picspams so smooth/clear/crisp looking? i can't do it even when i have hd caps at my disposal. thank you so much in advance!

Thanks! I just sharpen the image using the smart sharpen filter and then use the blur tool to smooth out the background a little. I usually do that for darker areas on faces or clothes as well, because those tend to get a bit pixellated when you brighten up the image. You'll want to do the blurring/smudging on a new layer so you can lower the opacity, it will look pretty unnatural if you don't. Hope that helped!
