a sight never really seen by anyone save for her ex girlfriend - shayne is wearing a dress. and make up. and heel. and her hair is curled and styled. she smooths her hands down the maroon satin. “ what…? ” she asks noticing the other staring at her. “ I was told I couldn’t my beanie, so… ” she chuckles.
“the beanie had to be retired for a day.” britt grabbed her hand, smiling as she looked at her ex girlfriend. the dress was literally made for her, and there was no one who could dress that dress better. the redhead tilted her head to the side, just admiring the girl. her eyes shining. “ you look absolutely flawless, shayne.”

“Then we’re done here.”
britt looked down, finally sighing. she wasn’t believing that she really had lost her best friend. “sure.” she said with a half smile, it didn’t reach her eyes before turning her back and starting to walk.

“Grovel,” Gianna said simply. “Actually apologize to me–and mean it–and then grovel.”
“i’m not going to do that, gianna.”
gcarvahlo:
“I don’t care!” Gianna shouted at her. “If you’re expecting me to just forgive you, you’re mistaken. You did the worst thing possible and then rubbed it in my face.”
“what do you want me to do then? what can i possibly do so you can forgive me?”
gcarvahlo:
“That doesn’t matter, Britt!” Gianna snapped at her. “You knew how I felt, and you still did it. Was it a bucket list thing? Just had to screw the only guy that you knew was off limits? Or did you do it just to piss me off?”
“of course not! i made a mistake and if you want to know, ethan won’t even talk to me any more.”

“Good for you,” Gianna said. “But my feelings are not just collateral damage from your straight phase, Britt. You slept with my ex boyfriend. The ex boyfriend that you knew I still had feelings for.”
britt crossed her arms. “you had a boyfriend at the time. it’s hard for me to know which one you love.”

“Have we?” she asked, finally turning to actually look at Britt. “You slept with Ethan. I’d say that’s pretty low. Even for you.”
britt took a deep breath. “i know, i was -- going through a phase. i’m better now.”
gcarvahlo:
“And I don’t care,” she told her. “You may have wormed your way back into Shayne’s life but I’m not spineless, I won’t forgive you so easily.”
britt frowned, her lips turning into a thin line. “we've been through worse.”

“You can’t boss me around Britt, we’re not friends anymore,” she said flatly to her.
“i know, but i'm trying to tell you that i'm sorry.” she insisted.

Gianna turned around at the sound of Britt’s voice–she contemplated answering the girl, but instead she didn’t, turning right back around as if she hadn’t even heard her in the first place.
britt sighed as gianna turned back. she thought of just leaving but then she popped in front of gianna. “don’t ignore me.”

“Prom is so stupid,” Gianna mumbled, taking a sip from her flask and looking around the room. Everyone happy with their friends and their dates, and Gianna was surrounded by neither. “Another twenty and I’m out.” As off-brand as this was for her, it was the truth.
britt stopped once she heard gianna complaining about prom. she took a long breath.”i like your dress. i mean, the color.” she said as she was standing behind gianna. and yet, she still had confident features.
