W2: PUBLIC RELATIONS
I would like to vote for the Sony team. It seemed liked they planned everything out, and had an answer to everything. They also came up with new ideas that hadn’t been done yet, and would be effective.

T2: Journalism
An example of an Aggregation is what wikipedia does everyday. Wikipedia complies information from other sources and basically restates, but puts everything in one area. The links are provided to still give the original owners credit. After searching on the internet for a while, I couldn’t find any other examples.

M2: Participatory Culture
An example of a fandom is the craze over the Hunger Games. I don’t consider myself to be apart of this fandom, or any fandom, but I think that The Hunger Games did a good job of using their fans to their advantage. This was shown in the video we watched in class about their advertising plan. While there are questions about it being ethical or not, it still helped promote the film and the fans enjoyed it.
F1: The Future Will Be Televised
I think that the episode was very interesting and unique. It was a very different format from how the show is usually, and it kept my attention. At first I assumed that the episode was promotion for apple, since all the products used are apple. Now I think it was to show how much we rely on our devices, and they did a great job of presenting that.
“Announcing Wednesday, First of This Seminar”
In this video, John Green talked about how undervalued most youtubers are by Ad agency’s. This forces the youtubers to find other means of making money. This could mean hosting events, creating their own products, or even writing books. They are starting to realize that Advertisements are not necessary for their income. Due to this, John Green predicts that ad’s and ad agencies will soon become obsolete.

I think that this GIF is trying to convey how over dramatized the movie High School Musical is, but it is doing it in a humorous way. It is also showing how cheesy the musical numbers and dancing is.
Why I want to take this course
I want to take Mass Communications because after reading the course description on the BU website, I was very interested. In 7th grade I took a similar course, and wanted to continue to gain knowledge in this field. I hope to pick up where I left off in 7th grade and expand my understanding on Communications. I also want to go into the advertising field when I am older, so I hope to get a taste for what that will be like,
