Hello, fellow Simmers, I met Brittany ( @brittpinkiesims ) last year and she inspired me to mod, and helped me a lot throughout the time!

However, Brittany is on hiatus and therefore cannot update her mods, therefore, I asked if I could update her mods for fellow Simmers, and she replied:

Harry Potter Traits

Her other mods are up to date, to my knowledge(I’m using them myself!) . Spread the word if you can, as Brittany won’t be back in the near future :( and I know a lot of Simmers want her mods to be up to date.

Just reblogging this again and wanted to note a few things :)

1. I probably won’t return to modding or CC. Life has been crazy this year; I started a new job, my husband and I moved into a new apartment, and I’m currently looking for a different job again (haha). Long story short, I don’t have the time to spend as much as I used to on modding and CC, and I don’t even have the time to fix things when they break. I don’t even play the Sims anymore, sadly!

2. Please do NOT harass, bug, or nag Rex (Konansock) to update any of my mods. He is doing it completely of his own freewill/desire and it is NOT his responsibility to update my broken mods. He’s just a great guy doing us all a favour :D

3. I will probably leave my Tumblr up for posterity, but will likely shut down my website by the new year. I don’t want people blindly downloading unsupported mods or CC. So grab whatever you want now, but do so at your own risk.

4. That being said, whenever Rex or whomever updates anything of mine, I’ll definitely reblog it here for anyone who still cares.

On Hiatus

TL;DR: I’m going on hiatus for a while and won’t be posting new content or checking my Simblr :) You can click through for a longer explanation, haha

Hi guys! I’ve decided to go on hiatus for a while from my Simblr. The biggest reason why is because I’ve got quite a busy month ahead in June (amongst other things I’m celebrating my 30th birthday in two weeks, whee!!!) and won’t have much time for hobbies, especially not the amount of time I typically devote to Sims-related stuff.

I’ve also sorta fallen out of Simming to be completely honest. I haven’t really been into actual gameplay in a long time. I thought that toddlers and family-oriented gameplay would bring back the fun of the game for me, but every time I load up my game, I only play for about an hour and then I’m completely bored again (this happened yesterday even, after buying the new Parenthood GP). I don’t know if it’s TS4 or just the Sims in general; I typically go through phases where I won’t play at all for a long time, so this could just be one of those times...I don’t know.

Anyway, I’m just posting to let you guys know why you won’t hear from me for a bit. I’m not deleting anything or deactivating, but I also won’t be around posting or checking anything, and that also goes for my mods.

I’ve done everything I can to make sure all my mods are up to date with the new patch, but I know a few people are still reporting issues with Last Exception errors. When I’ve tested the mods they all work in my game and nothing else has changed in the tuning that needs to be updated, so there’s nothing for me to do to “fix” the problems. If you’re having issues and you KNOW it’s not because you didn’t install the mods incorrectly, just take whatever mod it is out for now. I can’t fix anything that I can’t find a clear problem with and I won’t have time this month to troubleshoot with everyone individually. Anyway, I’m sure I’ll be back around eventually, but I just didn’t want to leave you guys without saying see ya later...so, see you all later! <3

Yo! Love your event mods but I'm having some issues with baby showers and graduation. I'm not able to view either the pile of presents or the yearbook. Any suggestions?

Hi there! I’ve just played both of those mods over the weekend and they worked fine so I’m not too sure why it isn’t working for you. When you say you’re not able to view the objects, do you mean the interaction isn’t there altogether or you do the interaction and it doesn’t work, or the task doesn’t clear on the event? It’s hard to guess what’s wrong based off the info you gave me, but I’d recommend trying to update your game (if you haven’t recently), or deleting the mod/re-downloading it, and clearing your cache files. If all else fails, repair your game in Origin. Hope that helps!

It's based off the biggest train station here in Sydney where I live, Central Train Station. I've been slowly making CC for all my non-CC lots over the past year or so and this was next on my list!

Central Train Station Lot- a 50x50 lot, set as a bar. There's a basement level with the subway (three train lines), bathrooms, info booth, and guitar, for buskers ;) Ground level has the “grand concourse” with four train “platforms”, information desk, lockers, and car lot, bus stop, taxi rank. The first floor has a coffee shop and bookstore. You can turn this lot into retail if you'd like (and sell things from the bookstore, or even the little deco travel cards), or make it into a museum, whatever you'd like. Besides the base game, I used Get to Work, Outdoor Retreat, City Living and Get Together to make the lot.

All meshes are included and everything is base game compatible. Of course, the trains do not move but the Steam Locomotive is functional in the sense that it has a real steam animation (thanks to BakieGaming for making his steam-animated items and inspiring me)!

Hi, FYI after the 1.30 update I found one of your mods was causing an issue where all sims on a lot will freeze when one of them views an object, even base game objects. Normally they get a little thought bubble with an icon, but instead they seem to get stuck in a loop. I narrowed it down to the "DIY restaurant set deco food" package. I don't use it very much, but others might. Something must have changed with 1.30. Thanks for your great unique work!

Okay, I’ll have a look at it this evening when I’m home from work :) I don’t believe anything changed with the tuning of those files in 1.30 but maybe I missed something. I’ll update again if anything needs to be fixed :)

Hello I am having a problem with it looks like most of the objects in the mods. I have almost all of your mods. But when I go to view any of the items its throws up a lot of last exceptions and my game freezes,

Hi there! This problem was fixed back in February, after the toddler patch. I’m not too sure when the last time you played/updated my mods was, but I recommend deleting and re-downloading the problem mods. You can check out this post, for a full run down of which content I updated in February. Otherwise, there have been no new changes to objects/viewing objects since then, so all my CC/mods are up-to-date now.I also want to remind everyone that I have a section on my homepage called Recent Updates. That section lists EVERYTHING I’ve updated and is really helpful if you’re having a problem with mods or something…just scroll down and see if I’ve updated something and if you need to re-download a file.

The Fashion Career Mod has been updated for the 1.30 patch!

Hi everyone! I was able to update the Fashion Career mod for today’s patch (1.30). There have been some tuning changes in the careers to accommodate for the upcoming traits that’ll be included in the Parenthood patch, and a few other small changes. The old version was preventing Sims from going to work properly and giving last exception files; both issues are now fixed!

Please delete the old version of the mod, and download the updated version from here.

All my other mods (all the events, as well as the Harry Potter traits/buffs) are working fine and compatible with today’s patch; I’ve checked all the tuning files and tested EVERYTHING in the game and it’s all working great :) Thanks for the bug reports earlier today and for your patience!

Today’s Patch

Hey guys! I’ve received a few inquiries about whether or not my mods are compatible with today’s patch. I don’t know yet, as it’s only 8 am here in Australia, and I was asleep when the patch was released and now I’m at work until much later today.

From looking at the patch notes, I wouldn’t think there’d be any major changes which would affect my mods, but I won’t know for sure until I can get home and have a look at the tuning files tonight :) Either way, I’ll try to update my webpage tonight and let you guys know if the mods are compatible or if they need an update. That being said, feel free to leave a comment below if you have any issues with something SPECIFICALLY after/because of today’s patch. Make sure you’ve turned your Mods and Script Mods back on after patching, too :)

MC Command Center Release 3.5.1 is out!

The newest release for MCCC/MC Woohoo is 3.5.1. I am releasing it to be compatible with the 1.30 update from EA today for the Sims 4. It fixes all the bugs I’m aware of due to the release today.

Change Log:

Fixed an issue with Change Outfit dialog in MC Dresser that would no longer open correctly.

Fixed an issue with a compulsive cleaning interactions for the shower that could cause other interactions to abort prematurely (working/school/taking a bath or a shower, etc.)

EA removed some filters and I changed my code to no longer look for them.

Fixed a problem with setting voice pitch in MC CAS that was always defaulting to 100 no matter what was entered.

If no vampire or alien expansions had been purchased, the MC Occult menu was not available in the settings menu so the “Monster Under the Bed” could not be disabled. Thanks, AlexandraBate67, for pointing this out!

Compatibility:

This has been tested to be working with GTW, OR, Get Together, Dine Out, City Life, Vampires and the patch released May 25, 2017 – PC Version 1.30.103.1010 / Mac Version 1.30.103.1210. This is the version I can verify that the mod works with. Versions before this, most likely will not work so don’t be surprised if that’s the case!

And while I work on the upload of the spiked rose headband, here’s a little something that’s been sitting in my projects folder for a quite some time :D

Story time: I was attending this awfully bad online course about CLIL methodologies a while ago, and was asked to record a video simulation of a CLIL lesson, complete with special effects, music, sounds and all sorts of “cool” shit. Deadline: one week. …Ridiculous, I know. To get everything done as quickly as possible, I chose to do a little TS4 machinima to go with my lesson simulation. Aaaaand… got stuck as soon as I found out that having just ONE sim standing and talking in front of a sitting “class” was nearly IMPOSSIBLE ò___ò and that City Living podium, in a high school class, looked waaaaaaay out of place. So I figured… why not make an invisible podium? :O And that’s how this project was born! :D

So, what does this do? The podium, as you can see, has been reduced to a simple (meshed) line on the floor, for easy placement (so yeah, technically speaking it is not 100% invisible, but shhh). It costs §20 and can be found under Activities and Skills/Other. It comes in three different swatches: white, yellow and wood. The wooden one blends pretty well with quite a bunch of floors (as you can see in the first pic). You can use it in your medieval gameplay, for storytelling and machinimas, or anything else you can think of :D NOTE: CITY LIVING IS REQUIRED FOR THIS TO WORK.

If you want, feel free to recolor the line to your liking (but keep retextures and recolors away from paysites and Adfly/Shorte/whatever, please). Keep in mind that flat colors and/or not too detailed textures are recommended if you plan to recolor this. Any intricated design will look VERY blurry and just bad, unless you zoom super close to the floor. But enough talking and on to the good stuff! :D
