I have this braid loop thing, but I could also leave it empty, add a braid or some small strands, a bun idk. help a girl out!! <3

I want to recolor all my OC's beards and hairs by just simply adding some subtle gray strands of hair. Is that something simple to do or do I need major cc making knowledge? I have Photoshop brushes and Procreate brushes for hair strands.
