Why do you update so slowly?

[[I update so slowly for two main reasons. One is that I'm still not all that confident with roleplaying like this, and the scene we [[Dead-Saint-John and I]] are doing I've never actually done anything like it before [Only one torture scene, and my character was the victim]. I've always got to be careful with what I do [I have a fear of accidental godmodding] and so I tend to send what I've wrote to a friend who's pretty seasoned and can give me help.

The second is I'm revising for two really, really big exams in January that I really can't afford to fail [Wikipedia Article for GCSE. Each exam is a quarter of my overall grade for Biology and Chemistry.] :I School sucks but I'm going to pass these exams whether I like it or not!

With John backed up against the wall, there’s no-where for him to run. You can tell he’s afraid - his voice keeps cracking from fear. Good. Fear is good. Fear will make this a whole lot quicker for you, and less painful for him.

And so you punch John straight in the middle of his face. You don’t expect to get a response straight away, and you begin to bear down on John like a tonne of rocks. Fuck, you will get an answer, whatever it takes.

For all that you’re determined not to break and help Brocifer, that doesn’t make you invincible. Brocifer’s fist slams into your nose with force you could never hope to match. You yelp in pain, and jerk back, smacking your head against the wall behind you. You see stars, taste blood on your lips.

You try to think of blue skies but all you can think is how much everything hurts as you twist and raise your arms, hoping to block the blows rained down on you. A laceration on your left side, a gift from Terezi, is pulled awkwardly, not yet fully healed and threatening to reopen.

You ball your fist and hit him once more on the arm, but you don't allow your anger bubbling inside you to show. Why won't he talk? Talk! Even though you knock his glasses from his face, you don't feel like you're going to get very far with this. You keep hitting, though, and hitting, and hitting, until he begs you to stop.

Just to remind John not to try anything, you slap the flat of your sword against the side of his head. Nothing that will hurt, for now, just a warning. And then back to Dave. You stop for the slightest of moments to watch your little brother, then you continue your fast-paced movements. You wonder how long this fight is going to last, and then decide, at this rate, not long; you slice your sword towards him again, wondering if he’ll land a blow.

The sword comes out of nowhere, smacking you on the side of the head. You groan, because it hands on a bruise from Terezi doing almost exactly the same thing, if with more enthusiasm. You drop to your knees - you’re of no use anyway and your head is spinning now.

You were fed up with having to constantly use shitty swords.

You aren’t armed - your hammer disappeared ages ago and of course you weren’t allowed a new one in hell - so the only thing that you can do is get out of the way while Brocifer and Dave strife.
