Macaque x Fangirl reader

"You must be my biggest fan." The hooded storyteller leaned down next to your seat. "I hope that journal isn't to steal my stories." He gestures to the open notebook in your lap.

"What?! No! No of course not." You promised hurriedly. "Your stories are so good but, they're yours. I couldn't tell them half as well. No I'm-" paused trying to collect your thoughts. You certainly had been taking notes but not to steal anything. It's just the story reminded you so much of someone.

The hooded figure smiled indulgently.

"And who is that?" He asked clearly meaning the sketches next to your notes.

Some heat flared to life in your cheeks.

"Oh that is my depiction of the six earred Macaque." You explained ensuring to keep your eyes glued to the journal. "He was the brother of the monkey king? Played a super important role." You rambled. "Actually your story reminds me of-" the words died in your throat as you saw his grin slowly turn into a slight frown.

"You.....you know about the six earred Macaque?" He said slowly.

You nodded slightly.

"He's my favorite. It's really unfortunate how he died." You mumbled with a shrug.

The figure seemed to flinch a bit but when you looked at him he pasted on a grin that felt a touch forced.

"Sooo....you're a fangirl?"

A blushed burned at your cheeks and you tensed.

"I wouldn't call it that!" You shook your head adamantly.

The figure chuckled.

"Hey it's nothing to be ashamed about. Although-" He sat next to you thoughtfully touching a hand to his chin. "Why does my story remind you of him?"

You blinked.

"Uhm well it's pretty well known that when Sun wukong and Macaque parted ways it wasn't under the most...ahem....amiable conditions."

For a moment you thought you heard the man mutter under his breath, 'No kidding' But you couldn't be sure.

"But Macaque was still pretty renowned in his own way and when they did work together they were virtually unstoppable!" You slipped into explanations and gushed about how cool you believed the monkey brothers were.

That was until your own brother ran into the theater.

"Y/n! I can't find Mei or the others any-" He stopped short suddenly and summoned his staff.

"Macaque. I should have known."

"Wha-"

"Get away from my sister. Now." M.k growled twirling the staff.

A low chuckle sounded behind you making you stiffen and slowly turn.

The man pulled back the hood to reveal a black monkey with purple eyes and a wicked grin.

"Ohohoho sister huh?" He looked at you with a risen brown and you felt your gut twist in knots.

"So... Fangirl." He addressed you stepping towards you. "Ready to meet the real deal?"

"I said-" Gold flared around M.k just before he launched at Macaque. "Get back!"

You screamed and raised your arms as purple and gold magic clashed and the resulting sonic blast threw you back into the bleachers.

"Careful there, bud." Macaque's mockery reached you just as your shadow morphed under you. "Wouldn't want someone to get hurt !"

At the last word the shadow opened a portal in the floor.

With a gasp you reached for M.k as you fell only to see him lunge for you.

"Y/N!" He shouted only for his fingertips to just brush your own before the world vanished into a void of black.

You came to with a groan touching a hand to your head.

"M.k you've got some explaining to do." Pigsy groused somewhere in the background as you got your bearings. Slowly, as the world righted yourself you spotted your journal.

You picked it up carefully as M.k dashed out the doors for some unknown reason. You flicked through the pages and froze on your latest page.

'To my biggest fan. Thanks for coming to the show. Was nice to hear someone remembers me. ' - Macaque.

You blinked and despite yourself you smiled slowly. Perhaps you really were a fangirl.

Macaque x Silver tongue reader.

Macaque studied the scene thoughtfully. As y/n sat next to tang.

"What if....I don't bring anything to the team?" He asked cleaning his glasses.

"Mr. Tang how can you say that?" She asked touching his shoulder. "You bring you. We like you. You don't need to have powers or something exceptional to the team to be wanted."

"But-" tang sighed and handed her a paper. "He didn't even put me in the picture."

Y/n's gaze slipped over the paper and for a moment she went quiet.

Macaque leaned closer raising a brow. There it was. The truth. How would she ease away the pain of this?

After a moment she offered the picture back to tang.

"Mr. Tang if I recall correctly m.k had tossed out at least fifty of those crumbled papers. All of which has some version of you. Which tells me he just didn't know how to make you look the way he wanted. And as far as art goes why would you try so hard to draw someone, and so many times, when you didn't want them in the final piece?"

Macaque's eyebrows rose.

Tang smiled a bit and after the two of them talked a bit Tang walked away.

Macaque frowned. How did she do that? Tell the truth to fix the truth? He shook his head. That made no sense. He turned to look at her for a moment only she was gone.

"It's rude to eavesdrop." Her voice came behind him.

Macaque swiveled only to pause and chuckle at your jest.

"Yeah well. Sneaking up on people isn't too kind either."

You smiled and nodded.

"And yet you persist to do that very thing."

Macaque's smile failed him as he walked over to you.

"How did you do that?"

You blinked.

"Do what?"

Macaque thought for a moment.

"I wouldn't say Tang is useless but-" he cut himself off.

"But?" You urged raising a warning eyebrow.

A sigh escaped him and Macaque folded his arms leaning against a nearby wall.

"Tang brings little to nothing to the group. So how did you still make him feel like a contributing member by just....existing? That can't be enough."

You blinked.

"Tang is our friend Macaque."

Macaque scoffed bitterly.

"Oh come on-"

"I mean it. Friendships aren't just transactional." You stepped up to him and touched his shoulder gently. "Tang has been there when he was needed....that's enough." You smiled at Macaque. "And so are you."

Macaque stared at you a moment looking almost awestruck before he shook his head with a rueful smile.

"You don't mean that. I mean come on." Macaque stepped around you his black tail curled around your left forearm and urged you to rotate it slowly. So your inner arm faced upwards revealing a long scar. "Look what I did to you. And that doesn't include all the bruises."

You stared at the scar for a moment your mind flashing back to when Macaque reforged the Samadhi Fire and his ice slitting your arm from your elbow to your wrist.

You shook your head to clear away the memories. And instead focused now on his tail gently curled around your arm.

"It's funny you mention that." You smiled wistfully. "Almost like you're reminding yourself....not me."

Macaque's tail bristled slightly at the observation and you smiled.

"You're so busy torturing yourself over your past mistakes you don't seem to get that...no body else is using that against you."

Macaque stared at you for a moment and pulled his tail away looking almost guilty for having reminded you. But you touched his left hand and then took hold of it gently.

"You know m.k told me you said sometimes you need to talk things out.  And yet you don't do it. Maybe you should."

You walked briskly through the city as the waning sunlight cast deep shadows. Your 'cousin' Mei was waiting for you at a restaurant named Pigsy's Noodles. You 'cousin' was technically not blood related her father and your adoptive father were....well not close but they tolerated each other.

Every year you would go to spend a week with your 'cousin' and her family. And every year your uncle would teach you self defense and what he could about your little...secret.

A few people tossed looks your way and you tugged up your hood not enjoying the attention.

The truth was you had a power you simply could not understand. Unlike your father, uncle, and cousin you were not a dragon. You were....well...something else.

You turned the corner following the directions on your phone. At that exact moment fire exploded from an upper balcony window above the resturant.

Mei and her best friend M.k stood just ahead starting at the flickering flame.

You gasped and ran forward summoning your magic. You couldn't do much. But silencing a flame before it overtook a restaurant, that was doable. Assuming it was somewhat smaller.

"Yooink."

A male voice mocked before the flame jumped from the balcony and flew right at you.

You yelped and jumped to the side tucking into a roll just as a race car shot off in the direction you had been standing.

Mei and m.k exchanged a few words before Mei summoned her motorcycle and shot off and M.k pole vaulted after the car.

You blinked your mind stumbling over what you had just witnessed. A flame jumping from a balcony? And turning into a race car? You breathed out a sigh knowing your curiosity would not be assuaged until you found out what that was about.

You focused on the magic you had just summoned but this time you focused on Mei. You could teleport minor distances, if you had an anchor. Mei would serve as the anchor.

You solidified the image of Mei and then allowed your magic to do it's work. In an instant you felt the world around you shift and when you blinked your eyes open you saw a massive column slam down on the front of the aforementioned race car, although now altered, throwing a redhead through the windshield.

"So, looks like you've reached the end of the line Red Son. What were you even gonna do with this thing anyway?"

You stepped closer and opened your mouth as Mei dismounted and stepped over to M.k. but another voice cut you off.

"Why spoil the surprise? Now hand the key over and quit wasting my time."

Mei and m.k shared a look then launched at a woman dressed all in red with...were those horns?

What had Mei gotten her self into?!

A very short battle commenced and then Mei and m.k were thrown into a cement wall cracking it upon impact. And your temper flared.

Red Son, as M.k had called him, scooped up the key and raced towards the woman.

"Oh no you don't!" You yelled summoning a small blast of fire you launched it Infront of Red Son. Except it wasn't small. Your anger had stoked the fire making them burst into a massive wall of black flame.

Red Son stumbled to a halt with a gasp and the woman turned a glare on you. But after a second her eyes widened.

"Y/n?"

Red Son summoned his own flames and turned his own glare at you, only to freeze when the woman spoke once again.

"Red Son. Come."

Red Son growled but burst into orange flames and jumped your barrier.

You readied another spell but at that moment the woman waved her fan and the wind picked up behind you and lifted you off the ground. You felt it pin your arms against your sides.

"No! Y/n!" Mei yelled pushing debris off her and running forward.

You squeezed your eyes shut and tensed for impact expecting to be thrown against some thing. The winds pulled you forward at alarming speed and then heat exploded around you.

You waited for pain but felt none. Slowly you blinked only to find yourself in what looked to be an underground base with a glowing blue...was that a casket?!

"Mother what are you-"

The wind dropped you then and you attempted to run but two robotic bulls grabbed your arms holding you fast.

Just then the woman walked over to you her arms folded behind her back.

"Do you know who I am?" She asked musingly.

You struggled.

"A kidnapper?" You huffed sarcastically.

"How dare you! You insolent little-" Red Son growled only to pause when the woman held up her hand.

"I am princess Iron Fan." She touched her hand to her chest. "I knew your mother."

Suddenly you froze. Memories you didn't understand and couldn't piece together flashed through your mind but just as quickly as they came they vanished.

"Liar." You spat.

Something changed in Lady Iron fan's gaze then. For a moment you almost thought it was hurt but it vanished far too quickly for you to be certain.

"Take her away. I'll see to this later. For now Red Son take your father the key."

"No!" You shouted and struggled more fervently now as the bull clones dragged you away.

I do have five about this. Specifically a rivalry between the lady bone demon's son and Nezha for the same girl. I don't know much about him but what I do know is he is every bit as expectant as his mother of having things go according to plan.

He seems rather skeptical of the idea of destiny and rather believes he can form his own destiny. But also feels that other who gets in his way have forfeited their destiny. He dresses pretty dapper unless in disguise which is the case in the fic I wrote.

Hot tears spilled down your cheeks as you hugged your knees. The devastation Azure's purge had not been without casualties. One such was your brother who was killed protecting Nezha's back from golden winged Peng.

You knelt now near your brother's grave allowing the tears to spill into the ground as if your grief could some how breathe new life into your brother's memory.

Someone took a knee next to you reverently.

You ignored their presence closing your eyes against the pain in your heart.

Silently a soft hand landed on your shoulder. You glanced up to see a very sober looking M.k. He was in his monkey form and opened his arms silently offering you a hug.

You paused in shock both for seeing M.k serious, and because you had been left alone to mourn your brother since the incident. More tears filled your eyes and you practically tackled him in a hug sobbing into his shoulder.

M.k's arms enfolded you carefully but firmly still and his tail curled itself around your waist.

"I'm so sorry, y/n." He whispered into your hair. "But you don't have to do this alone."

You nodded into his shoulder.

"Thank you."

M.k held you gently for something close to and hour. You had cried yourself to the point of exhaustion and without meaning to you slipped off to sleep.

I am so sorry you were put through that. I hope this fic gives some comfort.

Sun Wukong grinned as he held up the bouquet to show the other monkeys surrounding him.

"You think she'll like it?"

They chittered and chirped enthusiastically and his grin grew a bit more.

"Perfect! I'm gonna give them to her now!" He cheered starting on his way. Mentally he rehearsed the concept of asking her to be his significant other. She had been down lately about something she refused to speak about, he knew she'd broken up about 3 months prior.

Monkey king had never met the guy, but he seemed to have done his damage. She had ran to his hut and cried to him for hours. Wukong has to ease his breathing to keep from crushing the flowers. He had considered handling the situation for Y/n but it would likely have only compounded her pain. And he would rather die than hurt her more.

He sucked in a deep breath as he came to the beach of the island only to see Y/n looking at her phone.

One hand covered her mouth and Wukong's ear perked to hear her take a sharp intake of air before tears bubbled in her eyes.

Tilting his head, Wukong his the bouquet behind him as he walked forward.

She didn't seem to notice him her eyes glued to the phone screen. Her lovely ears had wilted downward and her tail lay motionless on the sand.

"Peaches?" He questioned from just behind her.

Y/n gave a start and shut the phone off quickly turning to face him.

"Monkey king." She gasped quickly brushing her palm over her chubby cheeks to banish the tears. "I-I- didn't hear you coming." She excused putting up a fake smile.

Monkey king rose an eyebrow at her allowing his eyes to flick to her ears which remained drooped sadly.

"Peaches-" He frowned. "Tell me what's the matter."

Y/n's smile dropped. Slowly she unlocked her phone and offered it to him.

"He's flirting with my best friend." She murmured.

The texts before him urged Monkey king to growl slightly. But he sucked in a breath to calm himself before turning his gaze on Y/n.

He took the bouquet out of his hand with his tail then got to a stand shutting off Y/n's phone.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Y/n asked her ears perked up.

Wukong offered his hand tucking the phone into his pocket.

"Taking your mind off it. Come with me."

Y/n rose a brow but he only offered her a smile.

"Trust me, Peaches."

Y/n grew a slow smile and took his hand giving a little yelp as he tugged her against his chest, then curled his tail around her waist offering her the bouquet.

Y/n gasped and accepted the flowers.

"Oh my gosh they're lovely!"

Sun smirked and summoned his cloud beneath them then pitched his weight forward shooting the couple forward.

Y/n flinched a bit then hugged closer to him as he flew her to the top of flower fruit mountain.

Gently, Wukong guided you down from the cloud and walked towards a small stereo. You blinked before glancing around and noticing a bunch of monkeys watching from hidden crevices and trees. They all looked at you in what you supposed was anticipation. Though you couldn't imagine why.

Suddenly a soft melody drifted from behind you and you glanced over your shoulder as Wukong got to a stand and offered his hand with a cocky smirk.

"May I have this dance?" He teased earning him a giggle as you accepted his hand.

"You dance?!"

Wukong shrugged as he tugged you into position one hand holding yours and the other on your waist.

"Eh, I know a few. And you said you enjoyed it so."

You smiled as Wukong led you in a slow dance and twirled you before tugging you breathtakingly close.

After a bit he grinned.

"Feeling better?"

You nodded but then noticed the monkeys watching again.

"What are they staring at though?"

"They're hoping you'll say yes." Monkey king informed you simply.

"Say yes to what?" You responded look at him again.

"To being my girlfriend." Wukong answered offering you your phone.

Tears swarmed your vision as you nodded.

Idk if you’ve done it already or not, but what abt Nezha romance headcannons?

I haven't done Nezha yet so here's one for him.

If you've caught Nezha's fancy you may not know it for a while. Here's the basic gist.

Nezha is a private person, and likes to observe things rather than rushing in head on. He'd be patient about courting you. Waiting for the right moment, perhaps somewhat shy.

Stern attitude. Nezha isn't one to mess around with serious matters but don't let that fool you. He has a playful streak and he will play games with his S/O. He's competitive though so you best be ready for him to aim to win.

Affection. Nezha is subtle with affection but gives it freely. He might initiate but he's more likely to allow you to choose when to initiate affection. Holding hands, kisses, and hugs he is fine with though he might be a bit blushy and huffy about it if you do initiate Infront of monkey king.

Protective. Nezha isn't the jealous type. He will allow you to do what you would like because he trusts you. However, should anyone harm you in anyway, he is prepared to handle the situation.

Flirting? Nezha can indeed flirt. And he's even good at it. He doesn't really see a need to unless he's in a playful mood though, or if you start it. But be warned, if you start flirting he will take the opportunity to fluster you.

Romance?

If you have captured the interest of Wukong... Buckle up, sweetheart. Here's some basic things to know.

Jealousy. Wukong has it and while subtle about it he will make it known that you are his.

Protective. Wukong fears death and he would fear losing you. If push came to shove he would give you a peach of immortality to save you.

Doting. Wukong wants the best for you and he'd do everything within his power to make you happy all the time.

Comfort. Depending on the type needed, he's decent at most. Buuuut he tends to have a bit of an issue with taking things too lightly.

Protective. No one, but NO ONE touches his girl. DBK's loyalty and protection of PIF is a good comparison. If someone hurts you the gloves come off doesn't matter if it's minor. For an example, in season three and Nezha threatens M.k resulting in Monkey king launching him into the stratosphere with a single punch. That would be quite similar to the result of someone threatened you.

Flirting. I sure hope you aren't too easily flustered because Wukong, much like his little brother Macaque, is a massive flirt. Using his tail to pull you closer, teasing you about being 'cute', smirks, showing off during training, winking at you, swiping kisses, all of it. He's very affectionate. And physical affection is his forte. Blushing only encourages him. Best of luck!
