I thought I was better than grindr… but who knows…
And the very drunk weekend...
It started off innocent: "Hey you want to go to my boss' husbands 70th birthday party with me?"
A simple answer proceeded from my mouth: "Sure."
What followed after, no one would've expected. A wild night of fire pits, catholic gatherings, drunk 70 year olds chugging vodka straight from the bottle… And that was all from about 8-10… then the real party got started.
Cigarettes! The crowd was hazy and the bitter smell of nicotine wafted from the mouths of sweet babes. We entered the front of the house, quaint and hidden from the bustling Russell. It was strange to go from a well put together house of memories and knick-knacks all carefully placed to look nice and organized. Then we walked into the same mess only take away matching furniture, pictures of children and religious leaders, add band posters, cult movie posters, mis-matching couches cramped into a small room.
The keg spewed from the kitchen, bodies being lifted to the heavens while a white froth poured from their lips. The house raged with music and the smell of pot and beer was in every room. Apparently, it was one of the roommates birthdays as well- the roommate who just so happens to be the lead singer of one of my favorite local bands- The Hasslers.
The rest of the night carried on by itself with pure gusto. It started with 70 year olds and ended with a kegger. The best part, only $7.00 spent the entire night. This is how broke kids party.
(I do want to say thank you for to both parties for having me and my friend over. You are all fantastic and amazing people and I can't wait to see you all again, next time I'll bring the beer!)
Why does the mind habitually deny or resist the Now? Because it cannot function and remain in control without time, which is past and future, so it perceives the timeless Now as threatening. Time and mind are in fact inseparable.

And I Realize… I'm Going Home...
Subtract blue skies for grey ones and I'm right back home in the town of Missoula. The feels I have for this place are unbelievable. There is so much history that I have with this town, mostly ones where we were all broke and only drank Nikolai and ate government cheese (and No, it's not like Velveeta.)
Here I am! Life is one f***ed up circle that is constantly going. One second I'm back in my hometown working at a gift shop for 60 year old women, the next I'm going home back to this wonderful city.
It's also nice that this kid got a job within the first week back! I am now an official employee of #Rue21! I'm beyond excited since I will be getting nice discounts on one of my kryptonites… Clothes.
I can't wait to officially start and experience a bigger kind of retail, one that I can get actual benefits with! So here's to the second step of getting life on track! I'm thinking a bottle of wine is in order. Commence Celebration.
Stay Fabulous!

Missoula... I'm BACK!!
Young, Broke and Fabulous
Everyone tells you that high school prepares you for the real world, college, life. It's when you head off to that campus across the state, and you live there for a year, that you realize how terribly wrong they all were.
High School did not prepare me for the things that I have been through in my first years of college. From parties that last all night, to best friends that turn into a new family, to deaths, heartaches, bills, roommates, grocery shopping, funds (or the lack there of), finding jobs, keeping jobs, new opportunities that you will bend over backward for, acceptance, rejection and in general life.
There is that word again... life. If there is one thing that I have learned from life thus far, it's obviously a big fat meanie who will trip you, watch you fall, laugh at you then help you up. Only to push you back down again. It's a vicious circle.
However, the one thing that life has given me was wisdom, strength, and perseverance. (Now I'm sounding like a self help book.) It's true though.
No matter how rough life can be sometimes, there are always, ALWAYS positive outlooks that can be shown from all the chaos and disorder. You go through the war to come out a hero.
I am Jerry, a twenty something year old college drop out trying to make it in life. I have had my fair share of dealing with life after my first couple of years and I seemed to have ended up right back where I was two years ago with some exceptions. However, that is not going to ruin my mood...
I may be young and broke... but I will always remain fabulous! That's why I have created this blog, to show you that you can be young and broke but still always be fabulous. With helpful posts about how you can keep your chic self in style but on a budget, also with some personal posts about how my broke ass is handling all of it as well!
Life will have it's ups and downs but it's up to you to keep that head held high and SISSY DAT WALK!
