Frozen in Time:

You are frail. Appearing to have lost that hopeful color once shared; with a whole bundle of love, and kind wishes. Sent to who needs no happy thoughts. For she lives in what paradise; she built or dark well.. she jumped into.

You live here... now. Frozen in time.... A memento to her- never dying will... her everlasting beauty.

The fool who smiles at your dumb jokes

The fool who made you smile when you lost all hope

The fool who said let’s take that ride, it will only take a few

And it did take…

It took one clumsy man looking for a shoe

To almost end everything for me and you

The sound of metal hitting

Engine bursting

Oil

Gas

You screaming

Sleeping amongst ash,

Cold, comforting grips of the past.

Bathe me in the soot, bury my pale skin; remind me of your bloom. Not… the blooming of the lilies or dandelions, only the horrific sight you burned into many eyes. Flames of life are a fantasy, to the truth you find in deaths sanity. The cold and shadows will warm you, when the fire will only burn.

Your hair once, reminded me of the sun.

Deception… hiding behind beauty was your smile.

I’m a settler, not of land or country. Just a settler… I’ve always accepted my place is not meant to be, I go where needed and move on. But… here I am 6 years into what we made… a house, love? I’m still not sure. I’ve settled and until now; I’ve never looked outside of our cave…Am I just a nomad made to have no home, or just a wild animal bored of the cave, and wanting to hunt? What I do know is, the universe beckoned me out; and you are the flames from the fire in the distance…that brought me here.

Why finish first, when second best is the finish line... Acting if I'm looking for standing ovations, but I'm only looking for your approval, your acceptance. My heart had been condemned and you... opened it up. My heart became a house; not a coffin.... Unfortunately, it seems to be built for one, you or me....

Strange to think...

to some,

to one,

that a sinking ship; was once, dreamed upon. I'm sure this wasn't the original intention... or hope; for our voyage.

Strong hull, tall mast holding nest, crows feasting... and respecting the dead. Ending imitating the waves against the rocky cliffside below....

We crash.

I'm positive... this was not your wish, too suffer the same agony, walk the same deck, wreck the same path, as our father said, lay... the same bed. I imagine, in your crayon art predictions you thought the water... a blinding sapphire pool; gorgeous and playful, not... hard, unforgiving... and cool.

The soul-warming aura from the sun, instead of the soul-breaking weight; of those above. At least you were spot on with the warmth... but it wasn't the sun, no... only our frozen friends.

The pressure; different from yours, horrific as all of it could be, comfortable, cozy... warm.

Yes, "unfortunate" to find home in....

Solitude, crowded unlike your company, dark waters; friendlier than your touch. Happily, accepted sad thoughts... far from your fantasy.

Ps... let us rest in peace. And please, keep us out of your head....
