In the After
Hey all, Tony here.
Tomorrow is an important day for us.
Nick, Jason and I started this band in my basement. We played for fun after work. We still do, just not in my basement anymore. Week after week, we get together, reach through the ether and try to pull music from the other side. It’s incredibly rewarding to share this process with each other. If all we ever did, was get together to make this stuff and never release it out into the world, we’d all be happier for just having spent the time together. But we do get to release it. Not tomorrow. No, tomorrow, we get to try to capture some of that lightning in a bottle.
We’re going into the studio again. We’re going to start the final process of crystalizing this music. If you’ve been to any of our recent shows, you know it’s some heavy stuff. It’s the most excited about our music that I’ve been since the very first jam where the three of us played noodly mathy riffy guitar stuff and were just amazed that a couple other people enjoyed our particular brand of crazy.
So, tomorrow is an important day, but no more important than any other day where I get to spend time making music with my friends. I’d ask you to wish us luck, but we’ve got plenty of experience having fun in a room with loud amps and drums and won’t need it.
See you all in the after.
