it is true it's hard to compete with that one sexy, sordid aspect of a secretary loyal to their paternal boss, like how you see it in jopzier, no joke, that shit is filthy (complimentary), but I raise you this, for anyone who's willing to consider:

an Edward that gets so anxious over the assumption he, by virtue of his position of leadership, is taking advantage of Thomas, he's bound to lose his shit entirely the moment he finally has Thomas - who he ached for, for God knows how long, while telling himself "you're bad and you're creepy, he'll file an HR complain over you and it's what you deserve" - he fully takes up the role of one of those unredeemable bastards, one who can't control himself, who's blurring and pushing boundaries and sounding so gone when he's talking to Thomas mid fuck, fully taking it out on him all of his past anxieties over the whole affair. And Tom, who just had a very sweet and kind and caring boyfriend up until some moments ago, just didn't know Ned had it on him.
