Lately I’ve been thinking that it’s time for a change.
Things haven’t been the same for a good while, now.
This blog used to be a source of fun and a way to play around with my friends…
But most of my friends have disappeared at this point…either moved on or just vanished…
And this blog has become a source of stress and sadness.
Because of this, I’ve been pondering a few options.
One: Abandon this blog entirely.
Which I just can’t do. Al’s been a part of me for so long- I just can’t drop him completely like that.
Two: Do a hard reset. Drop everything and just start over.
I can’t do that, either. He’s grown so much, and me along with him, that I can’t bear to take that from him.
Three: Do a soft reset. Let him keep his relationships, but start fresh. All threads and story lines in progress would be dropped and he’d start fresh from there.
After a while of careful consideration, I’ve come to a fourth conclusion.
BronzeGuardian will become an archive blog.
I’m not going to put up one of those “archive themes” I hate so much. Those things don’t let you go back and read over the posts the blog has made.
What I’m going to do is create a whole new blog altogether. BronzeGuardian will stay as an url for Variant 3, BUT….Variant 3 will no longer be the foremost Variant.
In the new blog, the main Variant will be Variant 4.
Any romantic connections will be moved to their own side blog. The main blog will be strictly generic interactions.
This way, if a partner disappears or goes on Hiatus, activity won’t drop to nothing or have to be carefully written to avoid complicating the storyline for when that partner comes back.
Most of his relationships will be staying the same for Variant Four- however, any romantic partnerships will simply be friendships off of their corresponding Variant’s blog.
I’ll be certain to make a note of what relationships will hold for Variant Four and what ones aren’t going to be counted.
I’ll also be certain to post a link to the new blog and set it to repeat the post for a few days once it’s made.
Thanks for joining us for the ride so far and I hope you’ll tag along for any further adventures Al will have in the future.
You can find me on Skype if you want to stay in touch otherwise.
