FINALLY getting a new series of monsters on the slab. It’s been over a year since I’ve had the chance to sculpt and even more since I’ve made a new a new toy. At this stage she’s a bit rough, just super sculpy baked then carved with a tiny pocket knife but by Monday she should be looking slick and ready to mold! And yes, ghoulfiend, she is wearing a crop top.

I know this is 0 to 100 but I'm tired of feeling helpless and sitting comfortably silent behind my privilege, offering little more than sympathy from the side lines.

Baby steps!

Soon I’ll be able to share with y’all exciting new projects (if you’re a fan of intersectional feminism, magic, demons, team spirit, and space then hang on those things are on their merry way!) in the mean time here’s a colored up sketch I did a while back when character designing the bewarewolves. And though I’m not currently drawing issues of Lumberjanes I’ll be sure to post more sketches and supplementary art as I eagerly read new issues with the rest of you guys (such a fan of Carey and Rosemary’s art, they never cease to amaze or inspire me)!

If I’ve gleaned anything from the past couple weeks its that:

 A) life is precious and you can’t be afraid to live it. I’ll be tackling my social media/internet anxieties head on by sharing more, posting more, and finally opening that scary tumblr ask box (thats right, I never look at it and its a point of shame!) to engage with the world outside my precious, albeit chaotic little bubble. 

And B) anything can happen! So if you’re having a string of awful luck or terrible days just hang on knowing truly anything could be right around the corner: an email you’ve been waiting for, that job offer you hadn’t heard back from, or a friendship you never saw coming and never knew you’d needed. And it’s on that note I have an exciting announcement: I have the honor and privilege to attend  Singapore, Toy, Game, and Comic Convention this September and I couldn’t be more stoked. If you’re planning to attend I hope you’ll stop by and say hi! :)
