Relieving tension
It’s been a long week, sometimes Jack just needs to pound his husband into the mattress to relive stress 🙏🏻💕
the full version is up over on patreon 💕
Can't believe I woke up on a Saturday morning to a video of Jensen telling a bunch of high school graduates they should find their own Jared 😭😭😭 like what is wrong with this man this has nothing to do with a graduation speech dude lmaoo
Telling kids they should be professional and work hard ❌
Telling kids they should find a profession they love ❌
Telling kids it's okay if it takes a while to get where they want to be professionally ❌
Telling kids they should find ONE COWORKER and obsess with them for decades ✔✔✔
Idk what's in his water this year but I'm loving every second of it
guys i've been possessed by the idea of queerplatonic rabbot.
walk with me here. they've been best friends since med school, seen each other through it all. robby was jack's best man, he was there when he came back from deployment without a leg, and he was there to help jack through the grief of losing his wife. and jack has always been the one to talk robby down. he held robby in those weeks. months. years. after adamson died. they've been circling each other's lives incessantly and relentlessly and without fail they are always there to catch each other. and it's love. a love so deep and true and insistent that you can't help but call them soulmates.
i'm imagining jack and robby a couple years after jack's wife has passed. jack asks robby if he wants to move in. jack feels like his house is too big for just one person but he can't bear to leave it. robby's been living in the same little condo for years but he's not all that attached to it. they're over at each other's places all the time anyway. they've always spent so much time to together, but especially these past few years. so robby says yes.
and now they're circling each other that much closer. pulling one another into their orbit that much more. and it's so natural. the way robby works with and around jack's adaptive furniture and home installations. the way robby comes to love the shower seat and the lack of stairs. the way they find themselves cuddled on the couch on a shared night off. or the way robby will come over and lift jack's legs where he's laying down, drape them over his own, and massage the ache from his residual limb. or how jack will nestle in behind robby to rub the tension from his neck-- forever the big spoon regardless of the height difference.
maybe they end up in bed together, needing someone close, needing someone to hold or to be held, needing the feeling of a breath on your shoulder or the sound of a heartbeat against your ear. and it becomes habit. robby's room hasn't seen action in a while, his clothes are just stored there.
and you know people start talking. ("have you heard robby moved in with jack?" "you think they're hooking up?" "i mean you've seen how they look at one another") and maybe jack and robby step back and question it too. ("are we... dating??") but that doesn't quite fit. they love each other, are in love in a lot of ways, but robby would never call jack his boyfriend and jack wasn't all too interested in romance after his wife passed. and maybe they hear one of the med students talking, hear the word "partner" pass between their lips and it clicks. because yeah. that's what they were. partners. in life and in work and in making it through the fucking day. partners. working together, living together, loving together. partners.
i don't think they'd ever call it a qpr. but it's what it is. and they're happy with whatever it is.
Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy.
THE BOYS — 5x05 (One-Shots).
it has been one thousand nine hundred and eighty-six days since jared and jensen appeared on screen together. tomorrow, that number finally resets to zero again.

Some things never change
Is there anything more intimate than two old men doing emergency surgery together
soo fanfiction is okay, making drastically different AUs is okay, changing the story to the point where the only resemblance to the original piece of media is just the characters is okay, but you draw the line at age gaps and weird ships? what.
I haven't stopped noticing the severe change in costuming and makeup for Robby between seasons 1 and 2. He look entirely different. It's a really dramatic change in how he presents himself.
In season 1, Noah Wyle described the costuming process for Robby as: being shown a wardrobe and doing what Robby would do on any random day-- pick what was clean. The result is something comfortable. Old cargo pants that don't match his scrub colors at all, a t-shirt, and an old hoodie. His hair is not unkempt by any means, but it's scruffy. The result is this gentle, at-ease man who is dressed for utility. He doesn't need to look nice, he needs to do his job. It has this rounded shape language to it too that makes him seem friendly and approachable.
Season 2 Robby is all sharp angles. He looks distinctly professional. The green fleece and quarter sleeve match, his black pants fit quite nicely, and his hair is much neater. Noah Wyle has yet to say anything about Robby's costuming this season but the shift feels so intentional.
And the makeup this season is incredible. Robby looks 10 years older. He is gaunt. His skin really shows his age. It's unclear if Noah Wyle did anything to his body but they certainly took pains to make it look like Robby lost a lot of weight.
He looks unrecognizable here. It's genuinely phenomenal.
How Robby presents himself has always been such an important part of his character. His costuming for season 2 feels so significant. This is his last day at the PTMC. All of his actions are tinged with the word "final." That affects every choice you make consciously or subconsciously.
What do you wear on the day you say goodbye to everyone you care about? How do you want them to remember you? Do you spend a little extra time on your hair? Do you try to present yourself as someone confident, capable, and larger-than-life?
When you get dressed that day, are you thinking about what your picture is going to look like on the wall near the entrance of the ED?
Nice SPN easter egg in The Boys
