elementary drabble (lockbell - pining!marcus)
Marcus has been thinking about it for a while. He didn't see Sherlock in that way at first, but the guy grew on him.
Holmes isn't shy about his preferences. Marcus knows he likes to be tied up. And he's caught himself thinking about it more and more.
What would it be like to pin Holmes' hands above his head? He thought about that last night for hours.
"You all right, Marcus?"
When Marcus looks at the captain's face, he's looking pointedly at the coffee mug in Marcus' hand. Damn. He didn't realize he was gripping the mug so tightly.
He deliberately loosens his grip on the mug and shrugs his shoulders, going for casual. "I didn't sleep well last night."
"Well, prepare yourself," Captain Gregson is looking over his shoulder now, "because Holmes is here and he looks pretty keyed up."
Marcus feels a tightness in his chest but speaks as he always has, like nothing is different. "Isn't he always?"
The captain claps him on the shoulder and goes to his office. Marcus goes to his own desk, not wanting to watch Holmes approach.
It makes Marcus nervous, this new attraction, because the guy notices practically everything. So, how long will it be before Holmes realizes that Marcus wants him?
Lately, it seems like Holmes is torturing him. Last night he showed up at The Brownstone to find Sherlock handcuffed to a chair, testing his ability to break free.
And damn. Marcus just stared and he knew he was staring, but for the life of him he couldn't tear his eyes away. The way Holmes' back was slightly arched as he worked on the cuffs behind his back took his breath away. It took Joan coming into the room to snap him out of it.
The image is in his mind now and his heart starts to race. Holmes is rapidly approaching his desk, and Marcus is imagining standing between his legs as he's bound to a chair.
They work together, Marcus repeats a couple times in his mind. And Holmes has never said anything about being into guys. Tied up, sexy letters, and a bunch of other stuff. But not guys.
He shakes his head. He's not even into guys himself! It's just Holmes. He got under Marcus' skin and he doesn't know how long he has to ignore this for it to go away.
Holmes reaches him. "What's on your mind, Detective Bell?"
Marcus imagines telling the truth. I'm thinking about what it would be like to take you to bed, even though I'm not gay and I don't think you are either. Yeah, there's no way he's saying that.
