The thing I like the most about Jane the Virgin is how they’ve handled Jane’s grief and the natural progression they took with both Michael and now Rafael. Jane’s relationship with Michael was absolutely beautiful and it was so wonderful to see a healthy relationship on tv. How they came back together was just fantastic. Then he died and I felt like Jane did and how she could never fully love again after that. But they way they’ve dealt with her grief and the natural progression she’s taken with learning to love again. Michael is never far from her mind. He’ll always be with her. They haven’t done the thing where the surviving partner just complete forgets about the other. And I appreciate that so much. And seeing how that has effected her choices because that’s real life. I’m so so happy they didn’t throw Jane and Rafael together right after Michael died because she wouldn’t have been ready for that relationship at that point. Just, I have a lot of feelings about this show and it has me crying and laughing every episode! I shipped Jafael from the beginning, however they way they’ve handled everything is absolutely perfect!!!!
