These images are 35mm self-portraits, later altered with chemicals. I’m interested in letting the image break, stain, and transform, just like the body and the mind do.

This way of working with photography became central to my practice and eventually led me to write Reflections, my eBook about self-portraiture, healing, and experimentation.

In the quiet intimacy of a hotel room in Lloret de Mar, on the Costa Brava, I captured myself through the lens of my analog camera. I used a Kodak Gold 200 roll, but pushed it to ISO 400, seeking deeper contrast and a more pronounced grain — almost as if the texture became part of my own skin.
