Brunch in Tamriel

Arlen Askew, alias Johnny Longtorso, is currently under the employ of Queen Ayrenn, leader of that merry band of hawkish stiffs known as the first Aldmeri Dominion. As one of the Eyes of the Queen, his job is of a clandestine nature, which is a nice way of saying that he's a spy, and while we're using euphanisms, we'll just come out and say that he's the particular Eye of the Queen that has an astigmatism and can't see too well in the dark or without reading glasses or really at all. Which is a nice way of saying he can't see too well in the dark or without reading glasses or really at all. "Ah no," Arlen counters, "I'm fine. I'm one of the best in my current weight class--amoebaweight. Unfortunately, I'm the only one in this class so it also means I'm the worst. You take the good, you take the bad, take 'em both and there you have me, I guess." His duties include dithering around diplomats, hobnobbing around hovel shovelers, sturrying around soldiers, gadabouting around generals, collecting clues, solving stumpers and turning nouns into verbs whenever appropriate. Agent Askew is also the official journal-keeper for his unit and lends a hand with the maths sometimes. And you'd be surprised how much a spy uses maths... 🌠 HEEEEEEY, everyone! Brunch in Tamriel... has MOVED!

So what IS here? STUFF. Munchy crunchy chocolatey cocoa stuff. Writing, screenshots, rhubarbing. Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age (NEW!), Fallout, Portal, Left 4 Dead, Skump, the 80s, STICKERS, cats…some…

Things are up and running smoothly at the new place, so I guess this is officially TA TA to this account, which is going to remain open, but just as an archive! It’s a clean start, one I’m feeling really good about! 🌵 The pressure is off! The cats are on! And, uh…of course, L and friends are over there now too, doing whatever it is they like to do (banana). This is going to be the last post I make here unless something goes seriously wrong or something (yipe). I just want to take a moment and say thanks to everyone for the support and friendship you extended to me over the course of not-quite-but-almost-a-year. Of course, I hope you’ll join me over at the new place, even if it’s only occasionally (no pressure)! Please, don’t be a stranger! And I’ll still be tracking this blog’s tag and checking the inbox for stuff, just in case!

Wll, I don’t know how Tumblr is supposed to work, since I’ve been here for less than a week, but despite the good idea, the whole system feels weird. For example, it’s really hard to keep track on stuff that I’ve been involved with - like this, I just accidentally noticed you had answered. :D Damnit, I study information technology and programming in the university, and I don’t know how to get this thing to work. It’s kind of depressing. :D

Yeah, it can be kind of tough to keep up with your threads. The notification system used to be a little more in-your-face but now, I think you kind of have to either check your activity page or just the threads themselves. You can also track your username! That can also help let you know if someone's replied to a post or answered an ask (provided they tagged your username--sometimes it's automatic, sometimes not). Just go to https://tumblr.com/tagged/[your username or whatever tag you want to track, minus the brackets]. There should be an option somewhere on that page to track that tag. If you do, you'll start getting notifications in the search box whenever someone makes a post with your name (or whatever keyword) tagged in it. Also, you might want to give XKit a try, once you start getting the hang of things (namely, figuring out what really annoys you). It's a browser extension that adds a lot of functionality to Tumblr, from pre-typed tag bundles to a keyword/tag blocker, all sorts of neat stuff. It's alright--I still find Tumblr mystifying most of the time and I'm also a Computer Science student!

Yeah, it makes sense to me. I feel the same way a lot these days. Then I kinda do the thing like I'm alienating people when I totally absolutely don't mean to do that at all. I feel so ashamed to come out with these really ugly thoughts sometimes, too. 😵 Agh!  But if it helps, you're never a burden to me--nobody here is! I'm always willing to listen and stuff.

Hey You Guys

Just so you know and in case you missed it, I've got a spiffy new lite blog going on here. It's something I've wanted to do for a long time, and look! There it is! So if you see this weird person following you/phantom-liking your posts that looks a lot like me, believe it or not, it's just me. And Tumblr is weird with new blogs and likes showing up on posts, so I dunno what that's all about. Anyway, please feel free to follow along or not follow as you like! It's intended to be a melange of this blog and my personal, so expect weird stuff.
