I've only touched the Scholars so far, I'm very impressed with Scourge & oh man do I love Mirage.
I’ve yet to play with Mirage but I’m delighted with Scourge.

Snakes, birds, & goats are common Warlock motifs. Bungie uses snakes in a lot of the Voidwalker iconography to represent alchemy & eternal life.
in one of the first fics i ever wrote about nameless i referenced serpents as a Warlock Creature but i’m just... kinda... not into it anymore, primarily because snakes are often also viewed as corrupters/betrayers and whooo bungie’s attitude towards warlocks ain’t much better
also my dumb eso main is also associated w/ snakes and i’m Loathe to repeat an association
