âDonât you worry, Sorrel darling, Iâll sort this out in no time,â Garnet said, her brown eyes warm and inviting as she opened the door to usher her partner in crime into her lavish penthouse on the top floor of the Easton. It was tastefully decorated with premier designer furniture; she had a master ensuite bathroom with an expansive marble vanity, a guest bathroom, a guest bedroom, a walk-in closet, an eat-in kitchen with a dishwasher, and a sunken living room for entertaining. She led him directly to her ensuite bathroom and sat him on the soft cushioned chair that was in front of the three-faceted mirror.
No one knew the acute loss of the Courtâs glamour like Garnet and Sorrel did. In truth, perhaps, Sorrel knew the loss better, because at least Garnetâs pours were so small and her skin glowed dewy on its own, which she was ashamed to say his did not do the same. But! She could make it so. She couldnât glamour him, but she had more than her fair share of tricks up her sleeve. Herbs were a Seelie specialty, after all. Opening up one of the cabinets, she pulled out a small vial of pale pink translucent liquid with an opalescent shimmer to it; Garnet took out a cotton ball and dabbed some across his forehead and the rest of his face, perfecting his skinâs minor imperfections. Luckily, he only had minor imperfections; this wouldnât do for scarring.
âHow have you been holding up with all this?â
